  1. This arrived the other day, will help detail the main landing gear bays and wing fold mechanism if I decide to have the wings folded.......... I've also ordered a Master pilot tube and IFR probe.
  2. New projects definitely help, that's why I keep starting new ones without finishing the last!
  3. The On Target book has more text and covers a lot of the aircrafts history with colour profiles of the aircraft in FAA, South African and RAF service, it also has line drawings etc. The Fox Two book is more of a modelled reference with lots of good walk around photos and photos of the aircraft in RAF service. All the photos in the Fox Two are good quality colour images. So really it depends on what your looking for. Cant help with the intakes I'm afraid, I did have two pairs but think I sold the other set as I didnt use them on my other build.
  4. Hi Tim, I used MRP’s Light Grey, (MRP-38, FS36375).
  5. It’s just Loctite Power Flex gel superglue, it’s thick enough to control the amount your applying and gives you a few seconds to move the part if required before it goes off. Someone recommended it to me for this reason. https://www.toolstation.com/loctite-super-glue-power-flex-control/p10277?store=GT&utm_source=googleshopping&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=googleshoppingfeed&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIy---hKGL6QIVzMjeCh0qPwnOEAYYAyABEgJV1PD_BwE
  6. Thanks Andy, there’s not a great deal of PE on it, but since I’ve been using gel CA I’ve not had any issues with PE. I should have left the blade aerials off the tail fin until after decaling but managed to work round it. I put the pitot on before any painting and was doing pretty well until I was careless and caught it on something, snapped about 3/4 inch of it, robbed the replacement of another in the stash. A problem I did have at the end is there is no way the canopy can be closed with the ejection seat built OOB, I had to butcher the bottom of it to get the seat to sit low enough.
  7. Very nice as usual Jon. How are you finding the rapid thinner?
  8. A monumental effort with stunning results, worthy of any display cabinet in any museum!
  9. Nice build and great to see a different scheme.
  10. For two sites with loads of great info, look no further....... https://www.thunder-and-lightnings.co.uk/buccaneer/index.php https://web.archive.org/web/20180728053537/http://www.blackburn-buccaneer.co.uk/
  11. My entry in the GB will be airfix's classic, née notorious, 1/48 scale kit. This was a two kit boxing I managed to get a hold of about 10 years ago. I've already build one kit as a 208 Sqn in the green/grey scheme. I plan on doing this as a 12 Sqn aircraft in the final Medium Sea Grey/Camo Grey scheme and will probably do it with the wings folded but I'm not certain about that. I've got a bit of aftermarket to throw at it including the Neomega cockpit, Heratige Aviation intakes, Paragon flaps and Eduard exterior PE set (still to arrive). Despite having quite a few decal sets I've found myself having to buy another one so that I have a decent set of foxes heads so bought the Xtradecal History of 12 Sqn set. The Kits World set also provides some of the stencil data required for a grey jet.
  12. My latest finished kit is Eduards Mig-21Bis Around The World kit. There's a great choice of schemes in the kit, I've always liked the Croatian scheme with the cheques despite the fact it's another 'grey' jet.
  13. From some of the references I’ve seen it looks slightly darker than medium sea grey, but it was a gloss finish which may account for the darker tone.
  14. I’m looking for colour profiles of the Medium Sea Grey/Camo grey colour scheme if anyone has a link, I’ve seen them before but now can’t find them. I know there’s an unusual demarcation line between the colours with only the undersides of the main wings and lower fuselage sides below the wings painted the Camo grey colour.
  15. Those are the ones Werner, they look great. Not to be confused with the enhanced Paveways which Eduard have also released... https://www.eduard.com/eduard/paveway-ii-mk-13-18-1-48.html?listtype=search&searchparam=Paveway It does look like Eduard have got confused and put the wrong text with each product, as you point out the original ones you put the link up for are only laser guided. The enhanced Paveways are laser and GPS and recognised by the conduit for the wiring loom from the seeker head back along the body.
  16. Eduard have just released suitable Paveway LGBs, looking to get some myself.
  17. Interesting to read in the second link about the upgrade to the Skyshadow pod "Skyshadow2" on RAF GR4's. Did this ever happen? If so I take it there was no external difference to the pod?
  18. Great photo’s, thanks for posting! Is that a kill marking on 68-0481 (7th photo from the bottom), looks like a silhouette of some sort of transport aircraft on the intake splitter? An An-2 or similar from Vietnam perhaps. Muzz
  19. 3 weeks to go, better start looking out my clamps for my 1/48 Airfix kit!
  20. I’m no A-10 expert but surely that photo is a C and not an A? I didn’t manage to find any photos of A’s with this nose art, mostly the shark mouth or snakes head.
  21. With regards to the decals, your best bet would be to try and get a hold of the Aviation Workshop set (out of production for about 10 years or so) or see if anyone is willing to part with the 208 Sqn decals from the set. I have the set and book that went with them but have plans for the decals. From memory the 208 Sqn options in the set are the Red Flag desert and artic temporary schemes but the decals could be used for the standard scheme also. https://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/Rev3/2401-2500/rev2456-ModelAlliance-MA72177/00.shtm
  22. No reason or suggestion for them not to do an F3 but remember other IDS variants have different sensors in these locations as well which will require interchangeable parts. Be great if they indeed do a ADV.
