  1. Hi Giampiero, Have a look at this: Mirage Pantera Book Every airframe with its history and photographs is listed. Well worth the reading if you like the Pantera. The downside is that I'm not sure there's an english version of the book. Hope this helps. Best, Tato
  2. Hi Andrés, Thank you very much for your very detail answer! My method is pretty much the same as yours, but your tools are totally different (and way better) than mine. Your reescribing is exceptional! I wish I had your skills. Anyway, looking forward to your next update! Saludos Andrés! Tato
  3. Hi torqueofthedevil, What about some Fuerza Aerea de Chile (FACH) Invaders and C-47's? If you dont want single color paint schemes, you could do this: https://www.facebook.com/ALAS-de-CHILE-1421169751456833/photos/a.2043925132514622/2122465644660570 Or this one: https://www.pinterest.cl/pin/328410997804909179/ For the C-47, you can do one like this: https://www.facebook.com/489655044495157/photos/c-47d-charlota-chile-uno-de-los-conocidos-como-pantera-rosa/1554104618050189/ Or another one like this: https://aviationarthistory.com/douglas-c-47dc-3 I know that this one has silver/white roof, but at least has a lot of blue and international orange! Hope this helps! Best, Tato
  4. Impressive work Andrés! Really like what your are doing. What are your tools and methods for rescribing? Panel lines look perfect. Regards, Tato
  5. Hi RiotRolo, Thanks for your coment! Glad you like it! Hi Pete, Thank you! Indeed, in spite of it's age, it still a very nice kit and looks the part once built.
  6. Thanks dnl42! Glad you like it! Hi Harry, Thanks for your coment! Glad you also like it! Thanks Tony! Indeed, is a fantastic scheme for a Texan! Hands down my favourite! Thanks SAT69 for your coment! Glad you like it! Thanks all! Cheers, Tato
  7. Hi Guys! Let me present you my 1/48 Monogram T-6 Texan in Korean War livery. This is an old, old build. I build it with the purpose of trying some new techniques. First, I completely rescribed the kit and added some scrachtbuilt items inside the cockpit and engine. I also lowered the elevators for a more dynamic pose and end using some True Details resin wheels for a better look. It was painted with different Alclad metal colors and enamels for the rest. I also use some Eagle Strike decals to represent a bird during the Korean War. Nice decals, but the only problem I encountered with them is that the checkerboard was to short to fit the engine cowling, not been perfectly centered with the anti glare panel. I only noticed it when the model was already finished. O well, live and learn! It was my first try at weathering and I think I went a little heavy, but I can live with that, and despite all these years and new models, it still holds and important place in my display gabinet and is one of my favourites in my collection. Hope you like it! Cheers! Tato
  8. Hi Mike, thanks for your comment! Indeed a truly classic bird! So fifty-ish! Thank you Harry. Glad you like it!
  9. Wow! Superb Starfighter! Those blue sidewinders sure bring a nice contrast to the green! Tato
  10. Nice work! On my wanting list for a long time! Tato
  11. Nice build! By far my favourite Luftwaffe bomber from WWII. So elegant in desing! Great photos also! Cheers Tato
  12. Beautiful! Great work! Never built anything older than WWII, but I just don't know why in the last few months I have been having more and more interest in this era. Must be those beautiful WNW and Copper State Models. Must give them a try! Anyway, awesome work again! Cheers, Tato
  13. Thank you Jackson for your very kind comment. One justo got to love those Fifties jets! Thanks Russ, glad you like it! Cheers! Tato
  14. Hi Dric. Thanks for your kind words! Glad you like it! Hi SAT69, thanks for your comment. Indeed, it's a lovely plane. Hi Scott, thanks for commenting. For me, Greek early jets are among the most colorful and eyecatching! So many schemes to choose! Thanks Cariado! Glad you like it. Hi F-32, thanks! Hi Gary, thanks for your kind words! Thank you ForestFan! See you later! Regards, Tato
  15. I agree, the Hasegawa kit is way better! I just can't understand why Hasegawa doesn't keep those variants available all the time like de E/F or M models. The Skyhawk is a very popular subjet in all it's variants. Anyway, hope you find one! Cheers. Tato
  16. Hi DrumBum, I just found on ebay a Hobbycraft A-4B. It's located in California as you are. It is ridiculously expensive, but it has the option of making an offer to the seller. Or you just can keep an eye for it until the seller drops the price. Here's the link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Hobby-Craft-HC1433-A-4B-Falkland-Fighter-1-48-Brand-New-Sealed-Parts-Rare/184648068858?hash=item2afde1eefa:g:YRQAAOSw2DFgGhwh I know it's not much, but better than nothing I suppose! Regards, Tato
  17. Hi guys! Continuing with my discovery of old photos in a hard drive, here's another kit I build more or less 10 years ago. It's the Academy T-33 with a KCM (?) resin cockpit and True Details resin wheels. It was painted with Alclad colors and Model Master Enamels. Decals are from an Icarus sheet. From my memory, this is a nice kit to build. The only real problem I found was trying to put the resin cockpit inside the fuselage, but after that was done, the rest of the build was trouble free. Hope you like it! P.S: Sorry about the lighting in the photos! Take care! Regards, Tato
  18. Hi DrumBum, I have built the HC A-4C. I also own the "B" and is basically the same kit with different nose and decals. As fubar57 said, fit is not very good. Cockpit is spartan to say the least, and surface details is ok. Not as refined as Hasegawa's A-4, but ok. Panel lines are a bit on the heavy side, but look good with a coat of paint. The HC kit does include the antennas specifically for argentinian Skyhawks (tail and fuselage). Here is mine. I know is a C, but can help give you a general ideal of what the kit looks like. I only used a True Details ejection seat and change the horrible canopy and windscreen with a Squadron Vacuforme one (a must!). Hope this helps! Regards, Tato
  19. Ohhh wow! That is spectacular! Great job! Regards, Tato
  20. Thanks F-32. Glad you like it! Thanks VolkerR for your comment! Glad you like it! Thanks all! Tato
  21. Thanks exdraken! Glad you like it! Hi fubar57. Yes! You are right! Tons and tons of putty on this one. Nothing fits, but it looks like a Skyhawk in the end! Thank you for commenting! Thank you Trevor. I'm glad you like it! Cheers, Tato
  22. Thanks Hans for your very kind coment! Thanks Vultures1! Glad you like it. Thanks Ralph!
  23. Hi everyone! Hope you all are doing well and safe! This past weekend I discovered some photos in an old hard drive of some model kits I build like 10 or more years ago. They are not up to my today standards, but I still have them in my display gabinet, and some of them are still my favorites. This is the case with this Hobbycraft A-4C. If I remember right, this was build out of the box, including decals. I just added a True Details ejection seat, a Squadron vacuform canopy and windscreen to replace the horrible kit one and I scratchbuild FOD and engine covers to hide the non existent detail inside the fuselage. I like so much that I'm seriously considering doing another one with a Hasegawa kit. Hope you like it! PD. I have just notice that after all this years I've still not added the windshield wiper! Regards, Tato
  24. Wow! Impressive detailing! Waiting for more updates!! Regards, Tato
