Excellent work. It certainly is a beast! I don't know how I missed seeing this. I am building one at the moment. Did you have a problem with fitting the cab unit? Mine is slightly tilted backwards.

Nice one, it's looking great.

Ok thanks Chris
I am ok for the green now but that idea could come in handy for another of my projects.

Just checked my personal messages and I found the delete conversation action under 'Options' rather than the three dots.

Thanks Ragatiger.

I ended up getting the Hasegawa U/S pilot and ground crew set.

Thanks for the steer Ragatiger I have ordered a sheet.

Well it certainly worked well, thank you.

Hi Bill
I have another question; what paint did you use for the deck brown?

This crops up every now and again: "Oh no, people can make their own guns and the world will end!". We've had machine tools for centuries and not many people have ever used them to make illegal firearms, despite that being a far better way of doing it.
I think the worry is that non-metallic weapons can be printed, which will not be picked up on security scanners.

Thanks Bill. I might also see about building a case for it as well.

Bill I have another question. What is the length, width and height please?
Looking for a suitable storage box for when I build mine.
Cheers

I built this for a vintage classic build my club held. The DR1 was a simple build but the F2b was certainly a challenge although they came out well enough.

Thanks Richard those figures look great but unfortunately not what I am after.

Hi all
Would anyone have a set of 1/72 arabic number decals (Black) they would like to sell?
Also I am after recommendations for 1/72 Modern USAF/Army figures. I would like the figures to be in relaxed dress ie in combat trousers and tee shirts in various working or 'at rest' poses.
I have seen the Hasegawa U/S pilot and ground crew set that includes a vehicle and accessories but I really only need the figures.
Cheers

Thanks Bill that is very comprehensive. I bought the photo etch sets for both the carrier and the aircraft. When I get to build it I hope it comes out as good as yours.

Awesome! and an inspiration for the kit I have up in the loft although I only have 48 aircraft to build! 😁
Are there any gotchas I need to know about the kit before I start it?

That's coming along nicely. I feel your pain with the Oerlikon barrels, I built Takom's Chieftain marksman that uses the same barrels.
Oh in answer to your query, the return rollers do have rubber tyres.

Thanks Bertie. I feel a Tamiya kit or one of my Eduard Wildcats kits is needed after building these! 😀
The base base is from Coastal kits glued onto a piece of plywood with some window beading round it.

Thanks Steve. I didn't realise that the kits were so old - the f2b had 1957 moulded on the inside of the fuselage!

I think I will have to try and take it off and lower the front location points.
