I am a typical 'born again' modeller. I started modelling when I was around seven or eight, building whatever Airfix, Matchbox and Frog models came into my local shop. I predominately built 1/72 aircraft, 1/76/HO tanks and varous scale ships. Then I discovered 1/35 Tamiya armour but it took a lot of pocket money before I could get one. I stopped modelling when I reached my late teens because I thought it wasn't 'cool' but briefly re-started during a tour with the RAF, in Germany, to stay out of the bar. I didn't get back to modelling seriously until I was married and a civvie. I mainly build 1/48 aircraft and 1/35 armour that is not what everyone else builds so no Spitfires, ME109s, Shermans, T-34s etc. I specialised in Soviet Cold War AAA but have now included other nations' AAA.
