  1. I’m glad it wasn’t just me either! I got round the problem on the outer wings by overlaying the folded wing option outer wings over the top.. then marking the hole position under with a sharp pencil... worked for me... Doh!
  2. I so agree, so sad to seeing ‘my old’ Skyraider in such a state. I remember her coming from RNAS Culdrose to The Aero Park in Cornwall. She was on loan from the FAA museum and kept in the hanger looking pristine. Sadly the commercial side of the Park took over and the aircraft were pushed outside to the ravages of Cornish sea air where all thing’s aluminium turn to dust. At least she has a home back at the museum, but sadly I fear will never be restored again.
  3. Well my build was going so well until I made a total mess of the canopy! Thank goodness for Airfix spares! Doh!
  4. Yes he was on the Eagle, as well as the Ark, Bulwark, Victorious... I grew up at Lossiemouth and used to bunk off school to sit on the end on the main runway on top of an old pill box having Buccs take off only feet above my head! having a diorama with wheels almost up sounds good! I’m still scanning photos so hopefully more to come.
  5. A couple from my Dad’s album that I scanned recently showing “ in service look”
  6. Great work and fabulous to see! I’m not sure there were any ‘bagged’ sea kings on the Falklands in 1982?
  7. Fantastic work! As a confirmed FAA devotee it’s great to see your fabulous work recreating my favourite era! I thought you might be interested in seeing some photos of my good friends model Ark Royal set as she was in 1976, so a similar period with the same aircraft. I help him display it around the country, and yes it is radio controlled too!
  8. Good morning, I have recently scanned a load a unseen negatives from my father, who was at Lossiemouth in 1955. In them I have found these photos which I hope you enjoy!
