Retired (since 2006) RSwAF Major. Started building plastic models as a kid (as all boys in my generation did). Built almost all kinds of models at first, but from about the age of 11 it was only 1/72 scale aircraft. Unlike most of my friends at the time, I never stopped building when we reached our teenage years. In fact I have now been modelling for more than 50 years! My main aim these days is to stay alive till the age of about 300 in order to finish all the kits (a four digit number!) I have got in my stash!
Since 1970 I have been a member of IPMS Sweden, and have served a couple of years on the national committe. In 1981 I took over the responsibility of our annual national modelling show. One of the first things I did, together with Sten Sundelin (Flying Colour Decals) was to develop a judging system. After some teething troubles had been ironed out, it has become very successfull and is now used at all the major shows in Sweden. After almost 20 years I steped down and left it to the next generation to run the show. For my work with the show through all these years I received the honor of being appointed lifetime IPMS member.
