  1. Here are a few more images along side another Blackcat Lynx. IMG_3638 by Christopher Newton, on Flickr IMG_3639 by Christopher Newton, on Flickr IMG_3641 by Christopher Newton, on Flickr IMG_3640 by Christopher Newton, on Flickr Chris
  2. The decals have now finished being applied. Considering they were Xtradecals I'm not impressed with them, most of them ripped as they were being applied. This is quite a good kit with a reasonable amount of detail in it while not being difficult at all. You could get it for a complete beginner and at the end of it have a nice looking model. I have learnt a few things as its progressed. I deffinatley would recommend this kit to anyone and would certainly buy it again. 3. Its starting to get a bit of colour now. The green has taken a bit to dry. IMG_3627 by Christopher Newton, on Flickr IMG_3628 by Christopher Newton, on Flickr IMG_3629 by Christopher Newton, on Flickr Chris
  4. Its a horrible situation. I It'sthe first time I've had it but we learn. I'm glad I've managed to salvage it from the bin. Chris
  5. I have managed to get them in place and solid with a bit of Gorilla Glue, that's done the trick. IMG_20181108_190737 by Christopher Newton, on Flickr IMG_20181108_190725 by Christopher Newton, on Flickr IMG_20181108_190748 by Christopher Newton, on Flickr Chris
  6. Yes I did glue the weights in the nose. I had no idea that Humbrol Poly Cement would do that. Once the nose and paint issues had been rectified I had another issue. The undercarriage was glued in place, I allowed it to dry over a couple of days and disaster struck. The legs couldn't hold the weight. 7. I have half saved it. It wont be the best looking around the nose cone or accurate but it looks ok and half decent from a distance. The paint has been rectified with a bit of sanding. IMG_20181104_190831 by Christopher Newton, on Flickr Chris
  8. Disaster has struck. The nose somehow has melted and now has a large indent. I put a thin primer down last night with the idea of putting a darker coat on top. Whilst applying the dark coat it rolled the primer up. 9. It now resembles something like a Typhoon. The fit was ok a little bit of sanding was required. The canards however, were a different story. They initially slotted in well but once the fuselage was together they stopped becoming free moving and have now broke off and require re-gluing. 10. Cockpit is pretty much together now, just needs to dry and can then be fitted to the fuselage. Chris
  11. The sprues are now washed and part painted. 12. Next up for me is an Airfix RAF Typhoon. Got a couple of these in my stash bit I haven't built one for a while so this will be interesting. It's a fairly old kit, as you can tell from the decals, so I will have to compare all the panel lines with an image to ensure accuracy. Here is a shot of sprues and bits. Chris
  13. Well its done, the decals were pretty much straight forward to apply. I have to admit its been a nice build with no issues. IMG_3625 by Christopher Newton, on Flickr IMG_3624 by Christopher Newton, on Flickr IMG_3626 by Christopher Newton, on Flickr Chris
