  1. 28Z, I did a conversion of the Academy 1/48 P-38E using the Paragon F-4-1 nose. I did a quick search to see if it was still available but it didn't come up. I did "Foto Jo" from the 9th PRS. I don't have the model anymore but here is a picture. There aren't any decals available for any of the aircraft in the 9PRS that I am aware of so I did my best to paint the nose markings by hand and scrounge up serials from other sheets. Good luck with your research. Geoff M
  2. Here is a website with the information you requested. Aircraft serials, types, and eventual fate of the aircraft flown by the 9th PRS. You can get there from the url the 72modeler posted. 9th Photo Reconnaissance Squadron Geoff M
  3. fm-2 had a taller tail too to compensate for the more powerful engine Geoff M
  4. Hi Jeff, I recently read Warpath Across the Pacific which is a great book about the 345th BG. It inspired me to build a B-25 from each of the 498, 499, 500, and 501 Sqdn. I have already built a Gunship J from the 498th. So just 3 more. There are so many good choices among the group to pick from. Good Luck with your B-25. Geoff M
  5. 3/wing I believe Geoff M
  6. For the early photo Lightnings F-4-1 and F-4A Paragon Designs did replacement noses for the early P-38E/F. I have used these and they were nice. Quick search didn't find any available tho. Geoff M
  7. Recently built the Monogram 1/48 Mosquito as the B MK IV using the kit decals. The instructions say it was brown and green so that is how I painted it. Looking at pics on the web I don't see any mosquitos painted brown/green, all gray and green. Too late for me now but it has been bugging me. Was the mosquito ever brown and green? tia Geoff M
  8. I wouldn't say that the load out you want wasn't possible, but unfortunately for the F-4E, but the time they were flying over NVN they were replacing F-105s in the bombing role. More likely they would be carrying bombs and maybe a couple sparrows. But anything was possible. Geoff M
  9. Title says it all. Looking forward to seeing the models and reading your thoughts Geoff M
