That was in Plymouth 2-3weeks ago.... I just assumed it was from either the German or Dutch warships that were in the Sound at the time,but I could be ( & usually are) wrong

Its supposed to be the largest tank in the UK... Holds 2.5 million litres of water :fish: :fish: :fish: :fish:

ahhh... brings back memories . I too am an ex-observer, started off at 10 Group HQ at Exeter ( now a paint-ball centre) and later moved with my job & was then at Bodmin post (now a picnic area)

Hi Haggis, Can i ask just 1 question ref the nose art ...... I was at HMS Somerset's homecoming in December 2010 (my son serves on-board )& my photos show no "Evelyn"present during the fly-past, when was the art work adorned ??

Buccy Mad Nothing like the smell of years old urine on a cold winter's night in a Golf or Romeo tower !. My version, will be a slightly updated version for a 'What-if' project with a remote weapons station on the roof with some modern IT/Comms gear and Air-Con for a desert environment, but should still keep the same feel. A little undecided if a rocket-cage will be applied. Surely that should be a "What -Wiff?" project..... Steve
