Hallo
This kit is from Tamiya and represents a P-47M in 1/48 from the late operational days.
The kit and his features are all described in my WIP here. This kit was a joy to build!
This particular aircraft was piloted from Leo Butiste from the 62nd FS in the 56th FG.
The serial was 44-1199. Have a look and enjoy:

Hallo
This kit is from MiniArt and represents a P-47D in 1/48 from the mid operational days.
The kit and his features are all described in my WIP here.
This kit was the most difficult one to build!
Not the aircraft was the problem, the kit design was the problem!
This particular aircraft was piloted from Ben Mayo from the 82nd FS in the 78th FG.
The serial was 42-26671. Have a look and enjoy:

Hallo
Now they all five from my built are finished. My wife got a deley after a surgery on her left hand.
Be patient with her, she will join in again in a few days.
What is to say: All kits showed during the last steps of assembling all the opinion they created in my mind and I wrote.
Dora Wing was a short run kit, well designed and nice to build. Some shortcommings, but ok.
Tamiya was a joy, also during the last assembling.
MiniArt was a pain, even in the last assembling steps! A real pain!

Hallo
Now I am at the very finish.
I will show you all 5 aircraft now.
The verdict for final assembling is:
Tamiya far out the best!
Dora Wing good.
Mini Art far out the worst case scenario for every modeller. To give you just an idea:
- The canon barrels are from the very design a flaw. How to insert and how to handle it properly during building: Mission Imposible.
- The inner gear doors accutator. It can only be assembled before glueing the wing. Afterward Mission Impossible.
- The external load: Accurate but not proper to assemble.
- As I already mentioned is the outer surface over all. The mad riveter comes up to my mind, as I heard often about Chinese products.
- I also refrain to buy any MA aircraft kit anytime in my modelling career.

Hallo
Stenceling is done.
The astonishment was quite big, because of the difference in quality and instructions.
The age of the stencils vary from Super Scale to Techmond and Tamiya and others.
What I found surprising was, started at the instruction.
From very detailed one from MiniArt to the most arbitrary one from Super Scale.
From showing you where to place it to the outmost of guessing.
Even at the literature I found no real suport on this issue.
The product quality is the other subject.
The carpet of carrier film and double size letters to real size of today.
In no bigger subject is a bigger difference to obey, as in the more or less ignored stencils on this bird.
The only Eduard company has a backup to a good price.
My wife ordered for her birds this one.
I can not any company just MiniArt on this matter.
All the other products I used would have had a better place in the waste basket!
Here I do really wonder.
It seems that the P-47 never found an attention by all manufactors!
The next days I will have to make the cxlear vanish on all airframes and smal parts.

Hallo
After weathering, in a modest way, I started stenceling.
Now I am stenceling.
3 models are done already.
The P-47C from DoraWing, the P-47D from MiniArt, the P-47D Razorback from Tamiya.
The material from the various producers varry quite a lot.
The Tamiya stencils are now the worst one.
They take a long time in the water to get in condition ready of transfer.
The colored stencils break easily. It takes me much more time as expected.
This week I will finish all stenceling and will next week start with a gloss varnish on all models.
Afterward assembling.

Hallo
I do not understand! When you want to convert a 210 to 410 or vice versa you must extend fuselage & wings. Overall shape / outlines too!
Look:
https://www.luftarchiv.de/index.htm?/flugzeuge/messerschmitt/me410.htm
My suggestion: model anything else!

Of you are intersted, the missions they had, the aircrews or a/c were called Rovers.

Here I use pens, which are empty. You get them in all sizes required. I put my color of desire into.
Look at my RFI, as I said.
One company who sells it is Montana, the other Molotow.

Hallo
MiniArt P-47 kit, the surface as well fuselage as wings are too much overdone with rivets. It is no T-34! Much, much too much. You can see it on my NO GUTS NO GLORY model.

One major factor beside security is the weather! The climate and humidity and freezing point!
For accurate functions this is the prime factor.
Did the crew remove the barrels from the guns?
I know the procedure just from the US Airforce. All out!

Hallo
The issue above, @bentwaters81tfwmentioned, is a logical issue, when too many options are packed into one design!
If a design is overloaded with options, it ís a nightmere in production and assembly!
It is simply unreasonable for every subsequent worker to create such overloaded and confusingly optimized drawings.
Typical issue of a dead cash-cow.
The workers are simply overwhelmed as a result.
The management certainly has no practical experience in production and assembly.
The management certainly has no idea what it means to work against the clock with such rubbish on overloaded drawings.
This is how employees become slaves.
Such designs should be reworked and made lean and safe for anyone who works on this matter.
Easy to estimate in future maintenance that the people who have to work on this a/c wish the evil to their creators.
This matter was for 20 years long my matter on an other public transport system!

Hallo
Now, two models are sprayed. The C version from Dora Wing and the Dora from Mini Art.
After the paint job I did some weathering, by making shades to the darker and brighter on the olivdrab.
On the matal surface I primed the model with gloss black.
Afterward I gave the metalic surface a loght orange tint with GX colors.
Today I made panel lines- The MiniArt model with Tamiya panel fluid, the C version from Dora Wing with MIG panel fluid.
In both cases the excess was removed with enamel thinner from MIG.
The detail surface from both models are really opposite, in panel lines and rivets.
The decals from MiniArt kit are excellent!
I worked with Micro Set, and after finish with Sol.
So let us see the photos:
Stenceling for the D-version is ahead.

Thank you, but here to add:
The gun port, at the leading edge, where the holes for the barrels are, is this an other material as aluminium? I think it may be because of heat and tear!
Can anybody give me a hint?
