I have the CA kit and intent to build it (one day...!) Do you have a link or details of what exactly is wrong with the CA Venom? Even if I can't do anything about the inaccuracies, I like to know where they are Cheers Jon

It is significantly longer than the nose in the kit but I never measured anything against plans or photos. I would say it is a poor quality product: the surface detail is very shallow and indistinct and the whole nose is asymmetrical about the vertical axis. However, it does fit okay. Jon

Does anyone know if the Akan laquer paints (serial starting 6*****) can be mixed with other acrylic laquers, such as Mr Color? I am looking for a way to fade and darken my Akan paints without having to buy black and white. Thanks Jon

Yes, the F-13 would be great. Not for me, as I've already built the Trumpeter one (for all its faults), but a Mongol would be tempting! If I wasn't sick of masking MiG-21s and I didn't already have lots of other kits to make, I'd be really tempted to get an SMT. Eduard did a fantastic job with these kits. Jon

Thanks James. Each model has some different shades in those areas. Some of it is Alclad Steel, Jet Exhaust, Magnesium and Pale Burnt Metal. Some of it is Mr Color 61 Burnt Iron. The nose rings are, I think, Alclad Magnesium or Mr Color 61; I can't remember I'm afraid! Cheers Jon
