    Hello all,

I fought and won with this model. Not the easiest build in the world, but well worth the effort.

Eduard helped with the cockpit details, oils

  2. O.K then Gary - you asked for it !!! Photo taken at a model show in Biggleswade in 2003. It's so big I don't have it out very often.

Some might say that could be boasting! Sorry, I couldn't resist. Model looks seriously good in the picture and I appreciate potential tranport problems but when is she likely to be displayed again?

  3. OK silly question. Must these be printed on WHITE decal sheet, or are we assuming an anti flash white finish, so clear sheet will do as the white will show through on the roundels? My printer doesn't do white.

It all depends if white has been used as a colour or not. If there no white specifically used the any background colour will, and sometimes does anyway, shine thruogh. I wonder what the guys at Model Alliance and Xtradecal think of this?

    Mildly dischuffed comes to mind.......

  4. Nice build - got one to start myself.

Finally went for Lion-Roar's LR E350007 resin turret 7 brass barrel upgrade set for main armament. :speak_cool:

Much cheaper than WEM's offering, also, you get the brass barrels and blast-bags already to go, and you don't have to guess where to drill the holes for the barrels!

    Cheers

Where did you get the Lion roar set from? I too have a Hood to do which I have had for a while but was put off a tad by the comments on release.

Great work there, patience would seem to be the order of the day. I can see my kit creeping up my already fluid stash. Looking forward to viewing further progress; Take your time!

  5. Nice work, Matt. I see that you moved the landing lights inboard. I'm still figuring out how I'm going to do that.

I'm in the process of doing that on mine. In the end I decided to fit the clear bits where airfix would have you put them (done that bit) and drill out new (smaller, as I think the ones in the kit are overscale) lights inboard which I have still to do. Will keep you posted if you wish.
