  1. Are they jealous do you think Mish? Like the colour, what blue is it? Tony
  2. Great work again Sandy. Looking forward to seeing the two together. Tony
  3. That really is outstanding! Is she going to Cosford on Sunday? Tony
  4. Just had a look at this airport on Google Earth. There are actually 2 airports on the Island with the one where the 747 is landing being the most southern. Both ends of the runway are extremely close to water! There are a number of pictures on google earth worth a look, just click on the camera symbols. Tony
  5. Wow!!! Those engines are amazing, Craig. Where did yiu get them? I,ve heard good things about engins'n'things stuff but am not sure who sells it. Tony
  6. That's very good, love the streaking, even kept his clothes on! Tony Post Options Enable emoticons? Enable signature? Enable email notification of replies? Not the easiest build in the world, but well worth the effort. Eduard helped with the cockpit details, oils
  7. Some might say that could be boasting! Sorry, I couldn't resist. Model looks seriously good in the picture and I appreciate potential tranport problems but when is she likely to be displayed again? Tony
  8. It all depends if white has been used as a colour or not. If there no white specifically used the any background colour will, and sometimes does anyway, shine thruogh. I wonder what the guys at Model Alliance and Xtradecal think of this? Mildly dischuffed comes to mind....... Tony
  9. All I have been asked by my friend at Bedford model club to pass on his grateful thanks to you for the info and pics you have provided in respect of this topic. Tony
  10. Nice one! Wouldn't it look good as a diorama with a Victor Tanker. Tony
  11. It would certainly stand out! Tony
  12. I agree its a great build but you could get almost two Airfix ones for the price. Tony
  13. Dave Where did you get the Lion roar set from? I too have a Hood to do which I have had for a while but was put off a tad by the comments on release. Steve Great work there, patience would seem to be the order of the day. I can see my kit creeping up my already fluid stash. Looking forward to viewing further progress; Take your time! Tony
  14. Joseph I'm in the process of doing that on mine. In the end I decided to fit the clear bits where airfix would have you put them (done that bit) and drill out new (smaller, as I think the ones in the kit are overscale) lights inboard which I have still to do. Will keep you posted if you wish. Tony
  15. I really like the finish on this one. I was looking for ideas for the 1/48 Hasegawa kit........ Tony
  16. Unbelievable! The bar has well and truly been raised. Too high for me but what a pleasure to look at. Formidable, Pierre. Tony
  17. I had a problem with the 1/32 Tony last year and contacted Amerang. Not only did they send FOC replacement parts I needed but also one I didn't. Tony
  18. Gents Many thanks for your input. The next model club is tomorrow night so I shall pass all this on. Best wishes Tony
  19. Clive Many thanks for the quick response. The scan would be much appreciated. Does it show the alterations to the bomb bay as well or would that need to be sourced elsewhere? Tony
  20. Does anyone out there have access to Warpaint no 57 covering Hampden and Hereford variants? A friend at model club has recently purchased the FM (Fit Mal!?) kit as I have and he has asked me to enquire if anyone can shed any light on Hampdens painted in Medium Sea grey and/or Dark Sea Grey over Sky. The schemes were illustrated in a 1970's Air Illustrated (I think- it has a red cover) and he would like confirmation as to the authenticity of these schemes. Having discovered the Warpaint exists I thought that might be a good place to start? Thank you all. Tony
  21. That looks great. I remember building one shortly after its release in the 1970's in the then Air Canada colours. Tony
  22. I'll definitely be investing in one of these Matt. I bought the Airfix kit on release but never built it. I hsve the Trumpeter Hood, Tamiya and Mini hobby Models King George V all in 1/350 scale so Repulse will look great amongst them. Hopefully though the new kit will cause less of a rumpus than Hood did; even Trumpeter issued update parts. Tony
