  1. The eduard website estimates February 2009. I wonder if any will make it to milton Keynes? Tony
  2. What's to forgive? A wonderful picture of an inspirational aircraft. Tony
  3. The silver Mig they own and therefore can and have restored. The other one they don't and are not allowed to do anything with. How sad is that? Tony
  4. A SUPERB venue. I am a member of the museum and can thoroughly recommend it to anyone with a remote interest in aviation. I did one of their Enthusiast tours last year and despite me being a wheelchair user they bent over backwards to make sure I got my money's worth which I certainly did. The shop is as well stocked as some model shops I have visited recently and members get a discount on books and plastic but not paint. The cafe sells the best toasties for miles around and they're reasonably priced too. It's also one of the few museums, air or otherwise, that allow dogs in and they provide bowls of water for them. If you do go, please leave something in the shop for me! Tony PS, the "brick" is the one that sank the oil tanker "Torrey Canyon" off the Scillies in 1967.
  5. One in "anti flash" roundels would look good. Tony
  6. My wife has just added this to our shopping list (it's 34p now). I'll let you know how I get on with it. Tony
  7. Hi Bex. Just seen this thread; they are much better than I expected and you can use WATER to dilute them. Newark Air Museum sell them for £1.39 a pot and they do mail order. HTH Tony
  8. Agrred. It was the first airliner kit I built in the late 1960's. I think it cost 4/11 (less than 25p)! Tony PS. Build it, it's a lovely model of an Iconic British airliner.
  9. I like the sound of this one. I have a Heyford, 0/400, Victor, Jetstream, Halifax in the stash waiting for an excuse to be built. If I can work out how to insert pictures I'm in. Tony
  10. As a kit it's fine but the nose profile is wrong. Aeroclub do a replacement for it for those who don't want to play with the kit parts. Tony
  11. Lmited edition could refer to the decal sheet. Academy have done something similar with their dodgy spitfire XIV. All things considered, great job,Osher. Tony
  12. Scratch building would normally be ok but the way the rear turret transparency has been moulded it's not that simple and that is also what prevents simply swapping the kit parts and turning them round. Tony
  13. Would you be able to post the picture please? Tony
  14. Further to earlier answers, my friend at model club has looked at the Ed brass and it looks like Eduard have duplicated Tamiya's error. Shame. that Tony
  15. It looks like the one(S) Hasegawa are re-issuing now so for a tenner that's really good. Tony
  16. He started it. Seriously, I've just checked the Eduard web site and correct rear turret brass is included. They price it at $30 which I think at the current exchange rate is about £20. HTH Tony
  17. Is it the one with the split lower fuselage attached to the wing? If it is I've got that one too and was wondering how best to get rid of that join right down the middle of the fuselage. Tony
  18. My experience seems to vary depending on the colour used. This maybe a silly question, but did you wash the plastic? Tony
  19. Hi Ian This problem is a nightmare to fix with the kit parts. When I spotted it I thought it was a simple case of turning the supports round but they don't fit, even with the locating tabs removed. I think the Ed set includes replacement parts. I haven't seen them myself but I know a man who has got one. I'll check with him in the morning and get back to you. I also think the instructions tell you to fit the guns the wrong way up. Tony
  20. Those pictures really show off the Vulcan at its best. I was fortunate to see her fly at Duxford on the 6th September but the weather was nowhere near that good. Tony
  21. Lovely model, Ruben. I have a very soft spot for the Vanguard as it was the first airliner I flew in, back in 1962. Tony
  22. H340 is quoted as FS34097 on the Gunze colour chart. I picked one up yesterday at Coventry. Tony
  23. Great job Phil as usual. I really like your bases too. Do they take you long to produce and are they very heavy? Tony
  24. Top of my list in no particular order, apart from he Might 'ood which would always top the list, are: HMS Hood HMS Belfast HMS Ark Royal III HMS Victorious HMS Nelson/Rodney DKM Bismarck/Tirpitz DKM Scharnhorst/Gneisenau DKM Graf Spee USS Forrestal USS Missouri/New jersey as originally built What ever floats your boat?!
