  1. According to IMDB,Tunnels of Time appears to have been shown out of sequence. It is supposed to be episode 13 in the series, which is very unlucky for some. Unfortunately, it certainly was for that.
  2. The initial version of that kit was in BOAC colours and the kit included a punch to cut out the windows. The BA one of course doesn't have a cheat line so Airfix may have not included the punch.
  3. Sorry Kevin, got them the wrong way round. The shame is having to paint the extra starboard window as it will be a pain to match.
  4. I got a Vanguard yesterday. Pleased to see the windows already cut except that on the model there are five windows aft of the passenger entry on the port side and four on the starboard, which is correct. The transfers have five apertures on each side...
  5. I must admit that I would punch out the decals as was the procedure with all Airfix airliners as I think that filling the windows in gives the impression of a toy rather than a model. Interestingly, however, Airfix have gone against their policy with their recently reissued Boeing 707 in that the windows are printed on the decal strip. The windows are punched out but there is no fuselage clear parts, originally included, to fill the holes!
  6. I think that Freightdog also sell some Lancaster related items Simon. And you're right about the tyres. White Ensign also did some but they may be difficult to find since the company's unfortunate dissolution.
  7. Quite often these threads take a while to take off,as it were, then like buses answers turn up in multiples.
  8. I've just read your first post again. Firstly, Airfix are a mainstream model company who have been producing kits for several decades and Mach 2 use limited run technology so to compare them like for like as you have is inherently unfair. Secondly, I find your comment that Airfix produce rubbish offensive and unwarranted. I have Cerebral Palsy and because of it I will never be able to build a model to the level of the outstanding work shown on this and other modelling websites. It's my problem, no one else's, I deal with it.
  9. According to the schedule, this afternoon's episode is being repeated next Saturday morning. Seems a strange time to take a break.
  10. That's interesting. According to a well known TV and film website at least 13 episodes have been completed.
  11. Watching this with interest, I won one myself a couple of years ago for a lot less than I expected. Good luck with this, your start looks excellent.
  12. No, out of stock from Hannants. The other new sets are available. Ordering from Roy directly is good until the postage gets added. I thought about ordering from another aftermarket producer based in the US until the £35 postage was added. When it does come back into stock at Hannants, the aileron set looks good value and I will definitely order one when it's restocked, along with the cockpit set.
  13. It does but it's sold out. I wonder why?
  14. A fair number of Mklls were fitted with fabric ailerons, metal ones weren't fitted on the production line until August 1941 although trials had started late in 1940. I have the Revell kit and need to source fabric ailerons from somewhere.
  15. I've just started using it too. Some of the comparisons seem a bit strange but it does look quite useful.
  16. Hi Scott. Firstly, it's the G sprue of which there should be two, not C. Apologies for that. Now, according to the instructions, four parts G15 (two from each sprue) make the starboard prop and four parts G17 make the port. G15 are on the right and G17 on the left as you look at the sprue.
  17. Anything confirmed for tomorrow Howard? Edit - Sorry Howard, ignore that, got my dates mixed up.
