  1. Yep, Spectre, two Saturday's back in Birmingham at £4.50 a seat.
  2. But is it really there? Hehe.
  3. The rrp will not fall, unless Airfix re-catalogue (which could have an adverse effect anyway; consider the 1/24 Mosquito which ended up in series 25 and £30 more expensive) the kit, it may even rise as the kit release date is twelve months away. Series 12 is not, in my opinion, unreasonable for a kit of this size and complexity but I'm sure that there will be retailers willing to undercut the rrp of course!
  4. That would also necessitate new wings I think, unless the tips are separate.
  5. This is probably far too late but the white YF codes for Operation Guzzlea aircraft is correct. Three aircraft were used; ED906 (AJ-J) became YF-A, ED909 (AJ-P) became YF-B and there was one other. The operation took place around August 1946.
  6. Thanks for that. Looks like I need to build a hangar.
  7. Would the ailerons and flaps be extended for servicing at all. It just seems a shame that as they are provided separately fixing them in the neutral position.
  8. I picked one of these up second hand yesterday. Having seen what's in the box it's a shame I couldn't buy a couple as both the schemes are tempting. Belated thanks for the review Mike, I'll hop over to your reference thread now.
  9. Airfix Didn't include RLM 66 in their new RLM range. That may go partly towards explaining the use of Humbrol 32 in the instructions.
  10. Lovely model. The problems you have had with your undercarriage doors are the exact reason I built mine with the gear down.
  11. The text below the colour scheme quotes the correct location as Singapore. Fingers crossed that they haven't printed hundreds of instruction booklets with the error.
  12. Website states release date of 29/02/2016. Could slip of course...
  13. Great work! I have one of those, would love the Prince too.
  14. That's lovely, the replacement intakes make a huge difference, I need to source something similar for mine.
  15. According to Hannants, (other retailers are available), the Roden kit is listed as a future release, price £25.99 (bless 'em!) and it's a series 300 which means that, if it is, the registration in the kit is not appropriate. Not sure if there are after market transfers for this.
  16. It will be interesting to compare this with the F-RSIN kit I have, which is supposed to be 1/144 and a 375, ie the stretched one. There are marks on the inside of the fuselage showing where to cut for the shorter version. I compared it to the Airfix Vanguard and there's not a great difference.
  17. I agree about the NeOmega seats and Alley Cat sets. The dedicated sets come with various resin parts as required, etch brass vortex generators and transfer sheets. Any Mark can be made, including the T3.
  18. As stated above, RAF Dark Green hasn't changed since the second world war. XF81 is a very good match for that but unfortunately I don't think Tamiya do a direct match for RAF Dark Sea Grey. XF54 is called Dark Sea Grey but it's too light for the RAF colour. Tamiya recently introduced a good range of RAF colours (XF80 to XF83) but neither Dark Sea Grey or Extra Dark Sea Grey were included.
  19. I bought one of those a number of years ago. The clear sprue was missing so I returned it. Wish I hadn't....
  20. I've had a look, two titles are available from Guideline Publications, one about the Hawker Hunter and the other Pearl Harbour.
  21. I thought that they had been bought out but I can't remember who by.
  22. The Comet is available from Airfix website. Love the box art.
  23. Or XF16 if you're using an airbrush.
