  1. The original Tintin (one word) books were written in the 1930's, which obviously predates even the initial incarnation of Thunderbirds. Yet Tin Tin (two words) could be used without problem then. The new series is set in 2060, Thunderbirds was set in 2065 and Jeff Tracy is dead. Or is he.....
  2. It's for those reasons that Lew Grade asked for the original show to be changed to the hourly format.

Same here, although it does depend on the colour.
  4. The original programme was given to Lew Grade as a 30 minute programme and the first three episodes were written as such. Gerry Anderson was sent away with instructions to change the format to sixty minutes. The extended launch sequences of each craft helped with that but additional scenes also had to be written.
  5. Children I think. It was introduced as CITV's Thunderbirds Are Go.All subsequent episodes are being shown on CITV.
  6. Recording is interesting. Today, ITVHD. Episode 2 on Wednesday CITV. Episode 3, back on ITVHD on Saturday at 8am, titled Scrambled, Thunderbirds Are Go. I think it's a shame that the episodes are only 30 minutes though.
  7. I forgot about the Hobbycraft kit, strange as I have one. I believe it's based on the Airfix kit.
  8. Sorry Roy, you are right. It looks like the episodes are 30 minutes too, not an hour. I wonder what Lew Grade would have said.
  9. No they're not, the news is on at six, followed by you've been framed. Part 2 is next week.
  10. I've just checked the schedule again, it's definitely in for 5pm tomorrow on ITV1 (6 on+1) and CITV on Sunday at 3pm. The first episode is "Ring of Fire part 1" with part 2 next Saturday. I hope the extended format works, personally I'm not sure..
  11. Really? Countless Hasegawa kits, 2 Airfix, several Ark, three Italeri.. I'm sorry but I would hardly call that under represented.
  12. I definitely would, especially the inside of the fuselages as from other pics I've seen it looks like some detail which should be on the framework are actually on the fuselage itself.
  13. Un Neuf is enough? Never! That's a great build, looks really good in those markings.
  14. I use empty jam pots, the ones you get free with cream teas in a well known supermarket.I admire Graham for mixing in the cup, I find it's much easier and safer in the jar.
  15. So did I, I was surprised at the hike and have to admit it put me off somewhat.
  16. They have, I saw the kit at Peterborough but at £37 it was out of my price range on that occasion.
  17. I didn't see that coming! Thanks for sharing.
  18. Thanks for an excellent review chaps. I bought one recently but regrettably the lower tailplane was broken (i got a refund) but I would still like to own one. Hopefully the situation will be remedied soon. I didn't initially notice the age of the thread!
  19. Thanks for the heads up Roy,looking forward to seeing this, although it does have a hell of a lot to live up to!
  20. The Aviation Icons book is good.I got it free with an issue of Aeroplane Monthly.
  21. The website just shows 10+. 450 gives me a much better chance of getting one later in the year.
  22. There's one in the walkaround which Julien has linked above.
