  1. The last pix before I prime the kit. All thats left to do is some work on the road wheels, a bit of damage to the rubber tyres and a few bits of PE left to attach. Crew figures placed to check the fit, not looking to bad. Headset boom mic's and cables to be added. Figure heads are by Hornet in anyone wanted to know and the commanders hand is a Verlinden item, torso's are supplied in the kit. Regards Dan
  2. Thanks for all the comments on the Bradley, fingers crossed painting should be next week. But I keep finding small details that I want to correct which could delay the paint shop. Stay tuned cheers Dan
  3. Todays work. The antenna whips are by Accurate Armour, they are made of carbon fibre and are great little items. the beads on the tops are from thick CA glue. Some missing details made from Mikes tubing he kindly gave me. More of the TOW launcher And the commanders hatch padding. thought it would be a good idea to add this as I'll be putting some crew figures in. Next is to finish the gunners hatch Enjoy Dan
  4. Soon mate, my moisture trap for my compressor shattered on thursday, just waiting for a replacement to arrive. Whilst I'm waiting, more scratch building on some of the missing details, just adding more PE parts and the padding on the gunners and commanders hatches more pix to follow later. Cheers Dan
  5. Any updates Spence? looking forward to seeing the finished article mate. Got the Dragon kit on the go myself and this is forcing me to finish mine R's Dan
  6. Good start there Bex, These resin pits are hard work but worth it. Stick at it and keep up the good work
  7. Sorry Mike Won't forget you again and thanks for the tubing that made this production possible.
  8. Cheers guys Just replaced the commander's head with something a little better And the Gunners head. R's Dan
  9. Thats looking nice mate. Thumbs Up here
  10. Thanks for all the comments especially from Pete ( Wheetabix Man ) Taken on board mate !! Here's the next stage. Tow launcher has been detailed a bit more. And the turret sight unit, not much added but its just to represent the sight units inside. The sight optics are from the MV light range. Tubing from Mike Enjoy Dan Edit: To add Mike's name as the supplier of the tube used for the sight unit.
  11. Almost ready for paint now. Rear TOW launcher cover has been replaced with Magic Sculpt, found it easier to use than Milliput TOW launcher armoured cover has been corrected, still needs another strip of plastic card to bulk out the right hand side Regards Dan
  12. Hi Omegaman, Were the Buccs that bombed the Torrey Canyon the early S.1 version with the smaller intakes ? I was thinking of building one and converting it to the earlier mark. I think someone produced the intakes in resin? I think I have a few pix of aircraft that flew against the Torry Canyon being bombed up at Brawdy which at the time was RNAS Brawdy. Having spent some time at Cawdor Bks (Old RAF Brawdy) I can see why the Navy passed ot on the RAF and then the RAF to the Army !!! Regards Dan
  13. The work continues.... Side skirts are now on and primed. Starting to feel that I might finish this one !! Next up is to scratch build the internals for the sight and finish the PE then its off to the paint shop Dan
  14. Thanks for the comments so far. More work done, Started the job of replacing the track skirt lifting handles, very boring job but as they say it's all in the details.... Tow launcher now fixed to the turret, more work required but i'm not really happy with the lead foil rear cover, just might have to remake this item from Miliput. Reason for the cover is that the launcher is not correct in the Tamiya kit so rather than scratching it I took the easy option. Front Armour plate, some new bolts added because of sink marks, My ref shows more bolt heads so these will be added, Bolt heads were made by Calibre 35 are resin, good bit of kit. The tow shackle adapters are from the Dragon M1A1 MBT, these are also missing from the Tamiya kit. The rear shackles are from the same Dragon Kit. They need a bit of fettling to look right !! Back with more later R's Dan
  15. Small update and some new pix. Turret basket added and few more PE Parts Cheers Dan

    resin tracks

Hi ferny, They are not the easiest tracks to work with, but with some hot water and CA glue you can get some good results. Use the hot water to soften the resin track lengths, this makes them easy to bend around road wheels and return rollers. The single links are for the drive sprockets and are easy to use. I start with the drive sprockets and the flat run under the main road wheels then working over the top. Use the hot water to soften the tracks and create the track sag on the top run. Some people have used a hair dryer instead of hot water to soften the tracks but this takes a bit more practice, too much heat can soften the resin too much. Whichever method you use just take your time. HTH Dan
  17. Easily done Mike, once you applied the powder you leave it all to dry for an hour or so and then using the world famous cocktail stick you scrape away the areas required. You also get different grades of powder so I think anti slip for aircraft wouldn't be too hard R's Dan
  18. Taking a break from the Greek F-16 and decided to try and finish the M2, Started this about 2 years ago and due to a house move boxed it up and put her away. Tried to correct some parts of the kit and added various AM parts with a few scratch built items . The anti slip sufaces were done with Cammetts Castacoat, great stuff to use and really easy. Not alot left in terms of build so it shouldn't take too long !! ( Famous last words ) Heres some pix Regards Dan
  19. Very nice finish mate, looks fantastic R's Dan
