  1. Thanks for the kind words, I used the Eduard barbed wire set, just painted Tamiya hull red and and a dash of rust pigments. Glad you like it Dan

  4. Thanks for the comments all, Vivkulan, I used tamiya olive green but added some Tamiya Khaki, can't remember the XF numbers as i'm not in the workshop at the moment but if you have a peek at the build thread it's all documented. Regards Dan
  5. Thank you chaps, I've added a couple more pictures to the first post so you see a bit more. Dan
  6. The new Trumpeter T-64A finished, Excuse my Photo skills as I've just acquired a Canon 400D camera and I'm still figuring out how to use it. This has been a really enjoyable build and hats off to trumpeter for producing a cracking kit. Enjoy my okay(ish) photo's this is the first time using this new camera . The plaque need to be re done, I know it's not level ! Link to the build. http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234930296-trumpeter-t-64/ Cheers Dan

  8. Thanks Chris, glad you like it buddy, Anyway a few more bits knocked off the list. 12.7mm ammo now done. and a few more bits done to the base. Regards Dan
  9. Incredible build Nick, everything is just right as a well balanced diorama should be. Looking forward to next armour build that you embark on. Dan
  10. More progress, I've added some colour variation to the grass areas by using some Tensocrom Lifecolor paints, just to break up the areas, also sprayed Lifecolor dust 1 and dust 2 onto the limestone track bed overspraying onto the grass areas and then drifted some around the running gear of the T-64. As Nick pointed out about the grass tufts, they looked a bit like Wayne Rooney's hair transplant... so I've added more tufts and further refined them, felt a bit like the mighty Zohan with my scissors trimming these things I think it looks better? Enjoy the pix Dan
  11. Very impressive Nick, I can see a nice glass display case will be required to keep the dust off all that fine work, It's looking better than the Friday night when I saw it in the flesh, wasn't sure about the adding the glass to the portholes but seeing it no close up it was the right thing to do. Dan
  12. Hi Andy, it's verlinden static grass, comes in two flavours green and brown,I mixed them together and used Nick's home made static grass machine which works a treat. I bought the grass from Historex agents about 4 years ago but I know that Verlinden still make the stuff. Failing that Woodland Scenic's make the same stuff and you can probably get more shades from them. I'll be toning down the grass a little with the Airbrush so it doesn't look to much like a lawn and adding a few other little bits n bobs which I've got on order from these guys. http://www.realityinscale.com/epages/61537336.sf/en_US/?ObjectPath=/Shops/61537336/Categories/ForestinaPot HTH Dan
  13. I know what you mean Nick, I'll crop them right down I think and use the off cuts to add a few more clumps. The sign has turned out well, painted with Tamiya Hull red first and the good ol Maskol trick to recreate the rust spots. Cheers Dan
  14. A few more pictures for you all to enjoy, I've ordered some plants and flowers from the web just to add to the base, I've also got add the 12.7mm ammo to the commanders MG and I might just add another figure yet. Cheers Dan
  15. Some closeups of the sign I made, These were placed around Soviet training areas to notify Foreign Military missions to keep out of training areas whilst troops were exercising. Google Brixmis and Soxmis to find out more, but basically it was Int gathering by allied and Soviet troops during the cold War. I still have my Soxmis card today, also remember chasing off the Soxmis guys whilst on Exercise in Soltau. Soxmis card issued to all BAOR troops. Enjoy Regards Dan
  16. Thanks Houston, An hours work today, still a long way to go but here's the latest pictures. Cheers Dan

  21. It's been a while, but I've managed to spend a little time on the diorama. I must thank Nick for the loan of the Static grass machine and helping with the signage which you'll see later. Very happy so far with whats been done but still a fair way to go before I wrap this build up. Anyway enough babble here are the pictures. Just waiting on some PE ferns to arrive from WEM, I've also got some signs to add and a barbed wire fence Enjoy Dan
