Hi When i was in devonport dockyard, as the falklands was kicking off, the dockyard painters were mixing batches and colours of paint to make south atlantic grey as there was none available in NSN stocks as you went past the frigates moored on the dockside on the river tamar, i don't think i saw one that was the same colour south atlantic grey cheers jerry

  4. Hi Not sure of the accuracy of it would a revell 1:32 mosquito nose make a cheaper conversion to the 1:32 tamiya, or does the revell have shape issues cheers jerry

Hi I have a italeri stirling IV and getting stuff ready before starting to build the one that visited western canada in ww2 my problem is i can't find a source to buy a H2S radome i can't justify buying the new italeri III just for a H2S radome would one from a lanc or halifax fit ? any ideas ?   16. Hi Found this on the web you may know this already but just incase "The ID discs of the crew indicated Gruppe III and Oberleutnant J Speck was the Staffelkapitän of 9/ KG55. The aircraft code lettering had apparently been recently changed to G1+EM and the compass card which was dated 29th April 1941 also had this lettering, so it was assumed by Air Intelligence that the aircraft and its crew had transferred to 4/KG55. The Bordfunker could not be interrogated owing to his injuries." cheers jerry

  18. Hi As to PRO / Kew maybe try a search in i think it was air 22 266/ 267 ? or air 41 for crash reports, maybe even air 50 ? or the AVIA aircraft type reports mind you this is from a memory of about 20yrs ago WW2 dept was Ai2(g) i think PM sent cheers jerry
