  1. Hi Me for one I will wait... the comment in this review is interesting quote Looking at the few parts that are marked “not for use”, I wouldn’t be surprised if Revell would be planning a radial engined B.II as well. http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/sear...=clnk&gl=ca cheers Jerry
  2. Hi bidders identity is private, but on all the auction I have been on you can go into item bid history and click on the bidder and see the activicty with the seller. i.e. sometimes they are bidding 100% with seller, sometimes it shows bid retractions, and if all current bids are with that particular seller. the feedback number also can give hints. depending on all this you can sometimes smell a rat... cheers Jerry for example on a current normal auction on e bay the two bidders details Bid History: Details Bidding Details Bidder Information Bidder: l***g( 188) Feedback: 100%Positive Item description: Item Title: Airfix Westland Whirlwind. 1:72 scale model kit. 3. Hi I am always sceptical of these ... .................. private listing - bidders' identities protected ............ auction types. As you are not able to work out who is bidding against you..( you can't see bidders history details ) cheers Jerry

  5. Hi all, Curious what are the known issues of the matchbox mosquito. I am considering it, due to the versions it is, as none of the other models have two stage merlins. Is it a lot of work, or is it best to hack the engines off it and put them on another ? cheers Jerry
  6. Hi Thanks for posting the photo, I like these types of photo, I have one of a spitfire on a devon airfield, with FAA personel around it. I thought at first it was an FAA aircraft, until the owner of the photo explained, that when his raf squadron moved into the airfield they had no groundcrew with them and the only ones qualified on the type of merlin fitted, were FAA groundcrew, so they serviced his and the rest of his raf squadrons spitfires.. Cheers Jerry

But externally, was there a difference in the postion of the sail. And was there a difference in the forward weapon loading hatch, or was it the aft engine room hatch ? cheers Jerry

  17. Hi All, Every now & then I manage to get hold of an old aircraft magazine...great because i usually get to see photos I that are new to me, for example a portuguese blenheimZE+B, But the photo that interests me most is a general nose photo of an airspeed oxford fitted with two De Havilland Gypsy six III S engines. Any forumites know the serial of this aircraft or any other details ? cheers Jerry
  18. Hi a nice naval P-38, I have often thought of a whirlwind modified the same way, radials and naval colour scheme. Sort of made under licence by grumman as some sort of 'cat', replacement for the XF5F skyrocket.. Maybe one day when i get some spare time... cheers Jerry

  22. Hi All, After my spate of e bay 'buys' with missing clear parts, my last two 'buys' have been missing a propellor. So I have to create a Lanc prop for my matchbox kit, and an P-70 prop for my revell kit. ( both 1:72) Never had to do this before... So what is the best way, scratchbuild or some form of casting using one of the existing parts. I don't want to buy white metal as it will make a dent in my hobby budget. cheers Jerry
  23. Hi For info the manuals I mention are not those on seawings.PM sent. cheers Jerry
