  1. You're welcome John and thank you for the kind words. I have many of my Grandpa photos and they are amazing - it's like stepping back in time. He had a real passion for photography. Some of the stories you could lift from Where Eagles Dare and such. he did enjoy his life in the RAF and doing good on the NorthWest Frontier. Good idea and I have thought about the Wallace conversion but with restarting the hobby I would want to go with a straight forward kit build.
  2. Thank you kindly Toby it would seem however I am not allowed to post in that forum as I have not started 100 topics or more
  3. not the wanted area and you need 100 posts to use that.
  4. Thank you Jeff much appreciated
  5. Brilliant and thank you kindly Jeff for replying I thought I had made a mistake but wasn't aware how big a mistake it was, now I know, damn Revell. So, the Man O'War has similar parts to the the other Spanish Galleon, that's good to hear. Now I have Conway's volumes of fighting ships but I do not have any books of fighting sailing ships from the 1550's to the 1900's Can you recommend any decent pictorial books for the golden age of sailing ships? I'm going to subscribe to both topics and join that forum. Many thanks Mark
  6. Ok slightly different question has anyone built either model? Thanks for perusing.
  7. Hello forum, I'm embarking on a modelling project and was looking at the Revell 1/96th scale Spanish Galleon (Revell H-367) and the current 1/96th scale Revell Man O'War (Revell 05429). However, they do not seem to be in scale with one another? Am I missing something here?
