  1. Well, it looks good to me! Maybe you will grow to love her over time ...
  2. Lovely job. Just the right level of weathering (I think!)
  3. Outstanding build and finish on a Cold War classic - top job!!
  4. Awesome looking Fulcrum - you really nailed it and the 'extras' paid off PS - double check your thread title. there's a teeny problem of nomenclature ...
  5. Nice work with what was obviously a difficult kit - well done! I especially like the 3-tone blue camo and the wing-load of weaponry
  6. I agree, I was certain from the pics that it was 1/48 so all credit to you for that great build and finish in 1/72
  7. Nice detail work on the helmets - impressive!
  8. Great-looking Sea Flanker. Looks good all tooled up too!
  9. Gorgeous sharkmouth Phantom - well done!
  10. Thanks for posting the link RidgeRunner, that's one of the photo references I used. Not saying the Canadians were poling around West German skies loaded with napalm every day, but still ... And thank you for all the kind comments - much appreciated!
  11. Superb work and a beautiful realisation. The more I look at the photos, the more detail I saw.
  12. This is the Hasegawa F-104, built as a CF-104 using markings from and old (and I mean old!) Modeldecal sheet. This one is augmented with Eduard details and masks, which were definitely well worth it, plus a couple of BLU-27 napalm tanks (slightly modified) from a Hasegawa weapons set as I generally like my models with live (but valid) loads. The base model was an F-104G so, although the Lockheed C-2 seat and the short exhaust nozzle that came with the kit are correct for a Canadian Starfighter, the MLG doors should not be bulged – ah well, I’ll live! Likewise, the leading and trailing edge flaps would not normally be drooped for a Canadian Starfighter on the ground but I think that it adds interest to that distinctive wing to deflect them. The Hasegawa Starfighter is a great kit that goes together nicely and the Modeldecal markings worked beautifully despite their age. Hope you like it ...
  13. Very cool indeed. I do like that you kept the retractable undercarriage
  14. Beautiful job! I really like the variations in the camouflage
  15. A well-deserved first place; that really is outstanding work and attention to detail
