Turkish Hurricane Mk.I (Hobbyboss 1:48)
TheFlogger replied to TheFlogger's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
The Gun bay covers are a bit annoying. I will use vallejo putty to fill gaps. Painted the cockpit and used decal dashboard. Not very promising but I can live with it; -
Yes, shackles not racks. This is what happens when English isnt Mother tongue. 😄 forgive my bad English pls. Thanks for rapid and valued response. This was helpful...

Dear Gents, I am planning to build 1:48th scale Tamiya Razorback with Loon Models's rescue dinghy and smoke markers. But cant be sure on dinghy attachment point to main pylons on wings. I appreaciate any help. Thanks for reading my message! The Flogger Here, a pic of rare blown canopy thunderbolt. You see Dinghy attached with racks to the pylon On 2nd picture, I couldnt see racks, seems like dinghy attached directly to the pylon.. Perhaps my eyes failing me but that is what I see..

Wouww this is great. I dont know what to say. First time in my life I gathered so much info for the plane I intended to build. Seems like I wont need these guys for now 😐
-
Thanks a lot. You are a life saver.

A long while ago a diamond hearted forumer had sent me decals for my Ventura (@bigbadbadge) Somehow I had forgot the kit in a corner but decided to complete it just before our contest in Istanbul which was on 10th of May. I liked the kit and got 2 more! one from Academy (Revell mould) and another Revell orginial boxing. So I decided to for a 2nd Ventura... Academy comes with some suprises; Nose glass, British type turret. So after a short search I saw this white guy in Aviaeology decal's sheet and intented to build it. Here is the decal sheet, I purchased it but did not arrive yet. (I trust Turkish postal services but I never say never ) here my questions: 1- Do RCAF Venturas use British type bombs or American? 2- Were seatbelts British type or USAAF? 3-This plane heas a submarine kill mark, does it carry depth charges or torpedo? I appreciate if someone enlights me.. Regards zafer

Thanks a lot for enlighting us. I am pretty sure I had tried to hard to get one halifax corrected radiator set previously but could not manage it. Now we have the set but no halifax around 😃

Last year I had faced the same problem. Freightdog is not avaible anymore. AML provides radyatör and propellers ( also decals) for coastal command one if my memory serves me well. İt is a decent kit with some flaws; needs resin wheels cos kit's ones are pretty small. Also quickboost exhaust would be great.

1:72 Valom Northrop BT-1 Dive Bomber
TheFlogger replied to Navy Bird's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Wouww she turned out well. Congrats! -
Oh, thank you very much for kind wishes. BM is solely for modelling stuff and we all ought to avoids politics as u know. But I'd like to tell you that things are not as they seem from there. Despite of your Dad's warning, noone touches a Nato member as long as they commit a serious crime. How I know that? I served in Navy and coming from a military family. I'd like to host you someday and offer you kebap and baklava (a few beers after all ofc ) Like I did to my Greek and Serbian modeller fellas. I bet a visit wud ruin your sterotypes Now I should go back my PV-1 and find some eduard colored seatbelts. Wish you best of all for you and beloved ones.. The Flogger

Thanks Ed. Decision is done: Zinc Chromate! I liked your triple build project. Beside C-47, PV-1 become my fav multi engined propeller plane
-
Ok, in case of my plane is dissmissed due to wheelbay color by jury in coming Istanbul contest, I am gonna blame you. Get ready to face Turkish courts! LOL Joke aside, thank you very much. I appreciate!
-
Well, I guess I will listen your advice and gonna make it ZC. Thank you for spending your valued time to response me.

It is ok, I appreciate your kind help. Best wishes, Flogger

Thank you Charlie a million times. Seems like wheelbays's interrior was white. Any chance to get info about bomb bay?

Here, Dave Harris's pic. You can see the white landing gear inside pic! https://abpic.co.uk/pictures/view/1276345 I know museum pics are not always correct.

Dear Gents, Thank you all for interest. I found a link from Australia. A Navy Ventura under restoration. Pics are from 2012. I believe they can give some idea. Here, wheelbay seems zinc chromate but wheelbays still question mark. They look metallic. https://www.aussiemodeller.com.au/pages/History/Aircraft/Harvey_Ventura.html
