    Good morning, my first post and it's a question...

    I am rebuilding an Airfix 1/12 scale Bentley that has been in storage for a long time, it's damaged and parts are missing, but there's enough to build into the 1930 French GP car in which Birkin finished second.

    I want to strip and repaint the bodywork, metal bonnet, chassis etc. are easy they are gloss, but the body was fabric covered and wasn't glossy...

    If I spray (aerosol) the whole in Tamiya British Racing Green and then overspray the body with either a satin or matt clear varnish would this take the gloss off the paint without reducing the colour?
