AZ 7550, one of the worst models I have ever bought. The front landing gear is the wrong shape with the triangular brace facing sideways! You can see it on the sprue at https://www.facebook.com/azmodelkits/posts/1316894608335145.
I think this will have to be constructed wheels up.
Should say that I did get an email back from Italeri a week after asking them confirming this.
Dear Sir,
thank you for your mail and your patience, herewith we inform you that the correct colours are F.S. 36320 and F.S. 36375.
We are sorry for the inconvenience and we wish you a good job.
Best regards,
Italeri S.p.A.
I am building the Hasegawa F-16I Fighting Falcon 'Israeli Air Force'
The colour scheme given by Hasegawa for the upper side is Brown FS-30219, Yellow FS-353531, Blue FS-35622
This seems wrong to me. The Israeli schemes I have used on other planes have been brown, yellow, green.
It seems to me that I should be using Green FS-34227 or FS-34424.
Any experts out there?
I have the Italeri 1/72 F-15 C eagle kit which I want to build with Israeli markings. According to the instructions the main colours are FS 36251, light grey and FS 35109 medium grey. As far as I can see, FS 36251 is aggressor grey which might be correct but 35109 is aggressor blue. I think this must be a mistake and was wondering what to use. FS 36176 might be correct. Does anyone have accurate information on this?
Thanks
I am a bit puzzled by the disc like structure shown in this cockpit .
The Eduard 1/48 Mk IXe profipack does not show this disc. I have an AZ Mk IX kit which has it present in Mk IXe and absent in Mk IXc.
Does anyone know which is correct? This is a detail which would be easily visible even with a closed canopy.
The Eduard kit seems great value and goes together really well. The other Mark IX kit that I am familiar with is the AZ which needs more work but can still turn out a decent looking result. The main problem with the EZ is that if you do not want cut down wings you have to shave down the wing and glue on the elliptical tip end to end.
I'm currently working on a Frog kit that I found on ebay. The instructions and decals are yellowing with age but still seem functional.
I notice on the Hannant's website that Hobby Boss are planning to release A-4F and A-4M kits.
I am having difficulty finding a varnish to go over Mr Hobby aqueous paints. I am using a brush.
I have tried Humbrol Clear but that caused fine crazing.
I have tried Mr Color clear but that attacks the underling paint .
Would Mr Hobby aqueous clear H020 be the way to go?
