  1. Decent progress indeed Carl…..will you finish it in time (seems like a big ask but I know you’re a mighty quick worker).
  2. Looking great Roland! If you’re very careful you can achieve a chipping effect with very light and targetted sanding, or simply with a silver crayon.
  3. Ah masking, the bane of a modeller's life! But you're getting there Peter, well done!
  4. Watching your Tiger Moth with interest Josep but I think you could have left the engine panel covers without putty because there are slight gaps in places on the real planes. As Paul has mentioned the big challenge (and disappointment) with this kit is the lower wings in particular and the difficulty of getting any dihedral on them.
  5. If you go to the Discovery section of the National Archives and look at the ORBs for those years it may give some clues about the identities of the crashed aircraft, though there is enormous variation in the completeness and accuracy of those documents. Make sure you’re registered to get free downloads otherwise you’ll pay £3.50 per document.
  6. The bike looks phenomenal Nigel, absolutely 100% authentic. Think I may have to investigate this area of the modelling market, especially since until recently I’ve been a motorcyclist all of my life! Well done….brilliant!
  7. Very clean Casey, straight off the factory floor ready for delivery……superb! Yes, don’t worry about deadlines, not in the least bit important.
  8. Amazing detail work Tomas, I have to keep reminding myself this is 1/48th scale!
  9. Sorry your Dad’s not too good Nigel, worrying times and your priority is of course absolutely right. Post an update when convenient…..still plenty of time!
  10. Sorry to hear about your illness Stew, sounds pretty awful especially the "doldrums", a dreadful feeling I'm sure. All the best for a full recovery and future good health. Max
  11. Looks very good to me Peter, I'm not sure the colour of the primer is that important....in fact white may have given too "bright" a finish. Looking forward to more soon(ish).
  12. It looks like you’re having a lot of fun with this one Carl, and showing some excellent problem solving techniques! But I see your bench is still as chaotic as ever……how do you find anything in all that muddle?! 😂
  13. Wow! That paint finish looks really excellent Roland, so smooooottthhhh! She’s looking very much a Beau now.
  14. Great stuff Luke....masking definitely the way to go for authentic looking markings.
  15. If it can’t be seen, it doesn’t matter is my mantra Tomas! Beautiful surgical work here.
  16. That’s a great relief that she’s not a tail-sitter Alistair! I’ve always thought Uhu’s have an ungainly elegance to them, she’s beautiful.
  17. My Echelon Hunter build has been moved to the Work in Progress section. As co-host I WILL be keeping an eye on builds in this GB and all efforts to complete builds before the cut off date of 17 December, but I am no longer taking part as a modeller.
  18. This build has been in a GB but has been moved as a WiP. Some sections which are irrelevant have been edited out.
  19. Yes Roland, I posted in GB Chat some time ago about the extension, new cut off date is December 17th.
