  1. Good morning Tony. I have just read through Patrik’s thread on his Grebe build, beautiful little model with your help! I am making a Grebe later this year, actually it’s a Gamecock kit in 1/32 scale which I am converting to a Grebe, but I was interested in a comment of yours about “an excellent picture with the top wing removed”.
As Patrik noted, and we will both be aware, the nose area is very “busy” with cabane struts, rigging, Aldis sight, ring and bead sight etc., so such a picture could be very valuable for my build. Could you possibly send me a digital copy please? If email is easier, mine is [email protected]

    Thanks in anticipation

Thanks Tony, I have the “On Silver Wings” book, it’s not in there so perhaps the MMP book which I don’t have. No great hurry, I have a Typhoon and two Hurricanes to build first! 😁

      Regards

  2. Hi Max,

    - Happy to see you back on the line. With the age coming we become fragile little things.......

    - I won't do this again.........

    - On the modelling front, I'm working on a Whirlwind Mk I from I.C.M; My first idea was to built it OOB just to wash my brain after the Gauntlet, but the devil of the modellesr tempted me with possibiliies like the flaps down and above, all a detailed gun compartment. so.... . Owing to my poor photographic skill I hesitate to post it in W.I.P...

    -The best for your Demon

Merci mon ami. Tout va bien pour moi a l’exception d’un mauvais dos! 😪

I am joining in the “Not my comfort zone” GB starting next week building a Hawker Fury. Being a 1/32 scale modeller, 1/72 scale is definitely not in my comfort zone. It’s only a bit of fun and I hope won’t take too long and will definitely be OOB!

The Whirlwind, ah what a lovely aeroplane! They used to fly from RAF Warmwell, only a few kms from where I used to live, and they built them close to where I live now! With the right engines they could have been one of the greats along with the Mosquito etc. No WiP peut etre but an RFI bien sur?

Great to hear from you JM

      Amicalement

      Ton ami Max
