  1. Thanks to all for your input, I think I've figured it out. And you all did help out a lot. Judy Eagle Editions
  2. Okay, thanks, Printed matter would also then apply to our EagleCals as well. Here is how the 'official' statement reads: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/zero-rating-books-and-printed-matter-for-vat-notice-70110#para73 Strange tax rule when you think about it, makes zero sense, Judy
  3. RAF4EVER; wow, so it is true. Guess I may have to suspend shipping to the UK. The costs are way too high and paperwork too much hassle! Thanks for the heads up! Judy
  4. Hi All; Thought maybe someone can help me with the VAT when shipping to retail customers in the U.K. The post office here is unsure and the UK post site is confusing. It appears as though we have to charge our customers the additional 20% on top of the price of the book/item and shipping. Then on a quarterly basis send this collected tax BACK to the U.K. government. Does this sound right? Does this even make sense? If this is the case and our dollar "falls" we could be XXXX out of luck on this one and be spending any/all profit on VAT! Options include: Not shipping at all to the U.K. which is not 'right' OR shipping all retail orders to one wholesale location for 'local' purchase. Anyone have comments, suggestions, ideas on this? Very confusing, I just want to sell books! Geez! Judy Crandall Eagle Editions Ltd.
  5. With the pending release of the Great Wall Hobby P-40B in 1:32 scale, Eagle Editions has several sheets with exciting markings for this newly tooled kit. Here are some of the pilots/markings we are offering in our EagleCals line:
  6. Hello; The detailed description of the color scheme and markings is not on the cover sheet of our decals. It is included inside the folder that comes with the decals. All we know is that this A-8 was flown during the month of June by Bühligen. If he flew on D-Day, no one knows. But it is possibly this aircraft. Jerry
  7. EagleCals #10 that you are referring to, was done 21 years ago. We supplied all the information that was known about Bühligen's Fw 190 A-8 at that time. In the instruction sheet is the description of all the details known about his aircraft. What is missing in the camouflage description.? It is all there. As far as the colors are concerned, on the upper surfaces, no one knows exactly what the colors were. It is all speculative. Regarding supplying the off-side camouflage pattern, there were no photos available at that time, so how would it be proper that we show the camouflage without reference? Our policy has been to let the modeler decide. Also, our policy is to publish photos if we have permission and access to them, if not we quote the reference as to where they are available. Cheers, Jerry
  8. Dave; We are shocked by your rather hateful posting and accusatory tone. We chose the aircraft that we thought were colorful and interesting to model and those choices had nothing to do with the nationality of the pilot. We are not against any country and we don’t appreciate your defensive negative tone. We have many British friends and customers as well as RAF pilot friends, including the late Geoffrey Page and Al Deere, both of whom we visited in their homes many times. In fact they both signed some of our limited edition prints. You should also know that through Geoffrey Page we donated several thousand dollars to the Battle of Britain Memorial fund. We checked with the Pacific Coast Models, manufacture of the 1/32nd kit, which is one of the motivations for our releasing Spitfire decals at this time. They are offering three RAF markings in their kit. We thought we would offer more variety in addition to those in the kit. Too, many other decal manufacturers have offered numerous RAF schemes in the past so why in the world would we offer those that have already been done. If you have some colorful RAF markings to share with us, we would be most happy to see them. Happy Modeling, Eagle Editions Ltd.
  9. Hi Guys: With the recent/pending release of the Pacific Coast Models 1/32nd scale Spitfire Mk. IX kit, we are releasing three new EagleCals sheets that you can see here: http://www.eagle-editions.com/ec114-116.htm Of course, we will also offer them in 1/48th as well. The artwork has just been sent to MicroScale for decal printing so we anticipate having them available to ship around the middle of April. We just might have them at the Seattle IPMS Show!!! Fieseler Storch EagleCals due here next week! http://www.eagle-editions.com/decal112.htm And, as always, dealer inquiries welcome! Cheers, Judy Eagle Editions Ltd.
