It shouldn't be difficult to use them on the Airfix - there are a few resin bits out there but if it was me then I'd probably not worry too much. There is a fair bit of scope with that kit to put your own stamp on it with a bit of scratch building if needs be - get some cockpit photos, compare them to the kit offering and see what takes your fancy.
