  1. Gorgeous!!! That is at Duxford?
  2. Dull barnish applyed, the cat is now sitting in his own legs (a little bit tricky to get it right). Waiting for photoetched speedbrakes from hannants. please forgive my messy work table here is a comparison with an early cat I buided, an italeri. I was really uncomfortable with the colour... I read your toughts and recommendations. 😁
  3. In tne Model Alliance instruction sheet, are depicted several jags with both types of antennas. Is this wrong?
  4. Colour darkened and applying decals. I have to say that Model Allince decals from Hannants are excellent
  5. https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php?topic=49634.0 In this link I’ve found some kind of painting guide (don’t know which brand or kit) that depicts a pink Jag with LGBs... I don’t know how certain were the sources of this “guide”. But, also I found strange that the jag in the pic is “the sadman”, XZ364, and the antennas behind the canopy does not match with the ones in a GR3 (I think that must have the T shaped one). Lesson learned in this post, that realize a mistake made in a early build of that cat (when I finish my actual build, will show you both). So, I don't trust so much in this guide...
  6. Thanks Trevor... at least seems I am able to communicate my thougts 😁😁😁
  7. Well, so I’m going to stick with the dumb bombs, and consider the paveways for a next grey ARTF build. Thanks!!!
  8. All of the resins are in 1/48 😩😩😩. Thanks anyway. Why is so difficult to find british loadouts in the model market??? I always rely on Hannant’s, its like the bible for RAF stuff, but the options are very limited anyway 😩
  9. There is any resin LGB for this subject? I’ve seen that are different of the americans (I think that the paveway kit is assembled on standard brit 1000 lb bombs... the guiding head and enlarged fins?) I ve been searching for those bombs in 1/72 with no positive results ☹️
  10. Excellent!!! Thanks Julien!
  11. Thanks Julien for the tip about the pink. I’m working on the colour now, trying to darken a bit. Finally i got a pair of sidewinder, thanks for the info too. I was looking at pictures for granby Jags, and is rare to see them with two drop tanks under the wings. In the most cases were using only one in the centerline. There was some weight issue or something? I was thinking in a two tank build because I love the look it gets 😁, but if this isn’t real, I will discard that option. I’m really glad to decided to post here in brittmodeller; you guys are great and love the info you gave me. Thanksssss!!! And thanks for your efforts to understand my survival english 🙌🏻.
  12. So, putting things all together; standard camouflage schemes: For early 80s grey/green camouflage (Dark Sea Grey BS638 / Dark Green BS641) with Light Aircraft Grey (BS627) under surfaces. Late 80s till 90s grey/green wraparound In 2000, turned Dark camoufage grey (BS629) with Dark Sea Grey (BS638) on top, final paint scheme. Temporary schemes For Granby, desert pink For Telic and operations over former Yugoslavia, overall Light Grey (BS626) with pale blue and pink roundels. I have a question here... I found BS626 is Barley Grey or Camoufalge Grey, mostly used in air defence (Tornados F and Typhoons). So, is this colour right for the Jag?
  13. As I suposed exdraken... thanks!!! 😩😩😩
  14. I think finally got a decent desert pink tone. What do you think? http://photobucket.com/gallery/user/fcasella76/media/bWVkaWFJZDoxMjk3OTkzNzA=?ref=1
  15. I’ts usual for RAF Jags to use the matra 550 instead of the AIM9? I’m working in a granby one, and the photos I’ve seen as reference always depicts the AIM9. And the Hasegawa kit only have the matras 😩
  16. What is the shot and fat container in the outboard pylon pictured in most of the photos of th XX766 (wraparound scheme)? The saint tail is great!!!
  17. Murph, te Jag was unable to carry LGBs? Exdraken, beautiful that one! Those aniversary schemes are gorgeous!!!
  18. Hello Richard, Iainpeden, Tauro and Max. Thanxs for tour repplies! so, the tornado starts with the grey/green wraparound. That’s clear now. Due to the Jaguar is one of my favourites, I will search for those test Jags. The conmemorative tails are spectacular, I have an xtradecal sheet with several schemes with coloured tails. I see the early ones have the tri color roundels. Didn’t know those. the grey and desert pink is a beautiful sweetheart, but... what a shity color the desert pink!!! I have one that I think is too brown, too dark. Another is like a flesh tone. I’ll try to mix them for the right tone. If Infound how to post pictures, will let you see. Thanks!!! Very useful and complete info!!!
  19. may I think that the Tornados GR 1-4 have the same scheme evolution?
  20. Thank you very much for the info!!! Tempestfan, excellent tip about those publications. Didn’t know about that! I’ll look for it. Phone Phixer, very good info, very complete and exhaustive... thanks a lot!!! Now I’m in the way to search the schemes, but now I know what to look for. Thanks again and best regards!!!
  21. Hi all! This is my first post on britmodeller; first of all, I’m not an english speaker, so please forgive me if I make mistakes in my grammar. I’m a RAF aircraft lover... aircrafts of all times, and now I’m focused on the Jaguar... beautifull in all aspects. I spent some time looking around the forum and I apologize if the topic has been covered, but I could not find what I’looking for. If this is the situation, please, just pont me to the correct post. I would like to know the different paint schemes of the GR1 along history, and the colour codes. If I’m not wrong, the first scheme was the wraparound grey/green camo in the 80’s, the desert pink for granby, and then, they was painted in shades of gray. Could someone clarify this evolution in paints? I want to make one of each paint scheme. Bonus track... Which is the visible difference between the GR1 and the GR3? Thanks to all in advance and sorry for my survival english. Regards!
