This is a excellent kit considering when this kit first came out ,sometime in the 70,s I think,anyway its been waterlined because it needs to fit into a harbour scene.It was easy to do, the red hull, this had been joined at the factory,it came apart after some gentle bending . Thick plastic card and supports were added to give the hull its strength back.Nice break from 1/700 scale note the senior officer has lots a medal ribbons, but the junior officer only has one , guess?

  8. I see from the Airfix website they our quoting two prices for the carrier ,first one £42.99 excellent price and the second one includes paints brushes and glue is £59.99 and a 1/700 Titanic at £19.99 this also has ten acrylic paints brushes and glue and were did they get that model?

  11. I see there is a new tv series called Warship channel 5 at 900pm about HMS Bulwark I wonder if this will be the next ship Airfix will release ?

  17. showing my age also l do remember her HMS Lion been scrapped at Inverkeithing and l have a couple of photo,s which l will have to find now
  18. yes the hanger deck made the stern top heavy, not easy to turn ,so the bow was fighting the stern chewie

Started this about 4 weeks ago .The matchbox 1/700 HMS TIGER what if ,she had gone to the Falklands in 82 ,they did look at her or Blake ,can,t remember which one ,but sadly it would take to long to get them ready I have a bit of a soft spot for them l was lucky to go aboard HMS Blake for two weeks they even fire the 6in and 3in guns and even seacat was launch after some problems out the box started still tons to do railings, masts, radars ,extra,s phalanx x2 ,20mm Oerlikons ,Exocets now were to fit them and a big thanks to White ensign models what would we do without then added 200509 still on going added 070809 getting their nearly there

  22. go to www.maritimereplicas.com they build model ships for customers ,the prices are very ,say different, excellent pictures ,even given me an idea for a next ship, the grey ghost both the same scale, 1:200 the size ,hard to believe! ,Titanic against the QM 2
