Hornby Group (airfix's owners) half-yearly results
chrisov replied to Phil Gollin's topic in Current News
Just had another email from Airfix offer 'bundle deals' this comes after a few sales and other reductions. Is this a good sign of sensible clearing excess stock to make way for the next surprise release or wanting/needing cash quickly? Sadly I couldn't find anything I wanted in the various e mails. -
Would be very nice if they would repeat this in 1/48

Aviaeology Beaufighter decals to be re-released
chrisov replied to Tomas Enerdal's topic in The Rumourmonger
Do hope this is true but just checked the 'Notice Board' on their home page last info was 10/10/2018. I do have copy of these decals (sadly safely stored somewhere in the atic!) and they are great with plenty of well researched information in the instruction sheets - well worth getting on their own. I know Terry used to post on this forum but stopped a few years ago, not sure why but he was very knowledgeable especially on the Beaufighter. I had tried to contact him and Alison several times, a few years ago, regarding an earlier pre order for 1/48 etch rocket rails for the Mosquito but no replies. So really hope they are back. -

There is or was the Monogram 1/48 one, at least available in the UK in the last few years. -
Wasn't that available a year or two ago as the Italian retirement scheme? Nice too.

New tool Canadian CT-114 Tutor in 1/48 scale from Kinetic Model
chrisov replied to Julien's topic in The Rumourmonger
My copy arrived today and while I know little about the Tutor this booklet, glossy paper, is full of colour profiles and other useful information. Reminds me of an IPMS publication but then is written by a SIG leader. Recommended -

Great news. But do hope the Fiat G91 and Mirage F1still coming too. -
Dont bank on it, amazing just how much there is to do when retired .🤣

Would prefer the D/J myself, but have to wait and see.

Mine too😃

Hope all goes a well as possible for you.

Thanks Des. They do look nice but think that makes it too expensive for me though. Suppose for several items at once its not so bad. Enjoy using your set.

Very interesting can I ask you, or Des, what the postage was or if any extra charges you had to pay? eg Customs, VAT, import or Royal Mail. They do look very nice though.
