  5. giorgio ciao may u confirm the m117 in the pic above are three? there s was the drawing also in the old booklet "monografie aeronautiche italiane" with the same configuration fully loaded, 7 M-117, u surely recall
  6. 165 for am/italian airf force and 40 for turk hava kuvveteleri turkish air force last one released in 1980(...too late for a design operationally already overrun/dated/surpasse perhaps obsolete in 1970)
  7. not really, you may easily see old pic fo luftwaffe, netherlander ,danish and some japanese 104 flyng in the past with them- also some italian 104G at the beginning
  8. it wasnt but the plane had certain margins of develop- add that aside t empennage (that has corner of 90° that was a radar repeater, as all the 90° angles ) the rest of the 104 airframe was truly low viz by radar, the shape of the airframe was truly enough stealth , because its rounded shapes ,
  9. no,the ventral racks in the 104s are the centerline one + 2 sided- total obviously 3. Look above the one on centerline with fins in vertical, different from the one on right side as position of fins-as u may easily imagine, there was another one in the other side , simmetrical
  10. this is a rare pic,the first f-104S that take off from Palmadale in 1966 fully loaded with 2 jettison tanks and well armed with 7 m117 (i guess the version of 340kg each one,not that one of 372 kg) note the strange position (look to fins)of the centerline m117 Davide from bologna
  11. ..anyone has ever built this kit?quality?particularities? my idea is making a merdc m-1 in green dominant, the kit is of complete purpose, having not me found the tamya same variant
  12. hi as seen ive the mk4 lic acadmey kit,,wich modifyng i've to do over the turret? (i'll do scratchbuild, not aftermarket) the squared plates that in the mk4 lic of academy area barely visibile on the surface of the turret are to thow away? thnx in ad. davide
  13. ok all solved,i suppose was of the mongoram generation that brought to their wodnerful(for that era)p-47,ow i discover that is of the former generation before, that one of helldiver and hellcat, what a pity i was gone in mismatch by the newer 90's re-box!
  14. hi could be still today a decent kit as mould?high quality as ,i e the legendary well done p-47 in the same scale of the same label, or a step back as quality? thnx in ad.
  15. curious note:with small payload, and the fuel tanks on the outer wingtips as here above with the plane flyng(at the side really,as on the f-5A freedom fighter)the 104,both 104g as well the 104s, gained in manouverability because the surface of the wings was in practice enlarged!arriving to the agility stage of the first Phantoms! 2nd curious note:the beginning project of the f-16 included the wingtip with small supersonic fuel tanks, probably marked on the shape similar to those of the f-5A, but the feature remianed on the charts this particularity was left as soon was clear that f-16 could easily outmanouver a wide array of other fighters also without the complication of cables hydraulic lines a that passed from fuselage to wingtips
  16. of course and thnx having not found me the lrmts rebox of years after i'll go to make a little bit of scratch for the nose but ive already idea so wich type of spare part of righteous fit shape to create it anyway thnx so much sir! any help appreciated

  19. here above static display i guess Sigonella or Trapani-birgi, 1981 here under 1989 circa 36th stormo , gioia del colle base,, Bari city, region puglia, east cost, the "tip heel of the boot" of italy in front of greece and albania
  20. good progress, as italian air enthusiast (and mentioned above) I would like to point out that if the loads chosen are aimed at 7 sparrow (or the more modern and similar Aspide) and sidewinder (B or L? - until 32-35 years ago our air force only had -Bs..) remember that except for very rare cases, the Italian 104S/asa/asam flew with a sparrow on one side and with a sidewinder on the other (there is photographic documentation). Very rare cases of two sparrows (obviously on outers pylons) Look for evidence photographic is not impossible, it remains to be seen if with 1 sparrow and 1 sidwwidner two or more rare, four tanks were mounted - for the ventral pylons as we have already said in Italy it was seen very rarely and only as a static display if furhters payload under winfs
