  1. Painted the cockpit. Need to get the engine done, some seat belts and instruments. Drew freehand some bracing wires with a pencil, a little rough. Thanks for looking. Stephen of the dark arts
  2. I should get myself one of these and build it when I end up with the courage to attempt my Zepplin Staarkin E4 scary thing. Stephen the courageous or is it the crazy. Excellent modeling as always, Moa
  3. Just went shopping and bought 3 vacs and a Merlin kit.
  4. Great, fantastic, do it, start. Shame on you. Get some and build, build and build. I haven't stuffed mine up, yet. Stephen of the dark arts. I could be Merlin (have some of their kits too)
  5. Moved ahead and the cockpit is ready for paint. Next the engine will be fitted and I had better mark the struts or one of Martian's tentacles will grab me around the neck for not following the teacher's guidance. Thanks for looking and start a vac, you know you want to. Stephen of the dark arts
  6. I have one of these in the ever increasing stash. Going to watch too
  7. I will swap you a Contrail XB-70 for your Lerwick.
  8. Your 6's look good especially without magnification you won't see the white.
  9. I don't agree about this "dark arts" heifer dust, they are a bit different. This is NOT my first vac. I built some when I was in the army 1985-1989 then I lost my nerve with them started a few and screwed them up. Too much of a hurry to sand the bits. I am enjoying Martian's tutorial and building my first vac in about 20 years. THEY ARE NOT DARK ARTS OR HARD, JUST DIFFERENT. Sometime today I will post some pics of my earlier attempts. Stephen of the (pretend) dark arts,
  10. I will make a new tail out of card. But there are choices, there are at least 2 different tails on these aircraft. Thanks Ian for the info. Stephen
  11. Welcome to Britmodeller Bruno. There is somebody building a VC10 in the forum. Stephen
  12. I might be jumping ahead of the teacher at this point. I probably will get the cane, never mind. Two bulkheads were made from scrap styrene and glued into place. The cockpit floor is only sitting where it is, I am guessing the height. I don't have any cockpit references. Couldn't find anything on the internet either. Can you help Martian? Any how some pics. The seat is glued in with PVA. This little kit is more enjoyable at the moment than these two: Especially the Dora Wings, it seems I take one step forward and four backward steps with this one. Thanks for looking. Stephen
  13. Vacuform kits are not hard, yet. Like any other kit you need to TAKE YOUR TIME especially with the sanding and check often. Today I have made some bulkheads out of scrap styrene. Give it a go. Plenty of experts here to help. Stephen
  14. I was wondering how to sort the back side.
