In 1/48 this would be fantastic and would appeal to both armor & aircraft modelers. But if it is #100 then there should be the entire launch apparatus, refueling etc. along with some people. Could be multiple kits if they went that way to get the entire diorama but I would be an enthusiastic buyer of this.

Love the fire fighters and their paint schemes. They may require some modifications but they certainly would stand out on the shelf.

Love it and I think having fun building it is what it is all about! And it really does look cute too.

Excellent job on what I assume was a kit that required quite a bit of modeling skill to get it looking this good. I have completed a number of CA kits over the years but after each one I need to take a break and do some tamigawa kit just to settle back down. But they can come out very nice and it is great to see this one completed so well. I suspect there are many of these languishing in the back of stashes.

I just came across this post and its a great idea! I will keep an eye open for these as I have had the same problem finding small pinpoint brushes at anything close to a reasonable cost. Thanks a bunch.

I love this plane and love the job you have done on the model! In particular, really like the finish on the jet engines and the weathering, looks great.

I have always thought the plane was built around the biggest or best engine they had available, which in this case was the Pratt & Whitney R-2800 and it is an enormous engine. Same engine in the P-47 and F4U so you can see the similarity in their muscular appearance. Love this plane and love the job you have done. I also like the "Death N Destruction". Goes with this plane perfectly!

Very nice job and wonderful painting! I also like the runway piece you are using to stage it, is this purchased or did you create this?

I have always loved you models and this is no exception, just a great job. Also really like your photography! -
And considering how many countries are or have adopted the Meteor this would make a nice addition to a wide variety of schemes. This would look sweet on my Grippon!

Airfix to Launch Anything over the Festive Period???
Harold55 replied to rob's topic in The Rumourmonger
If you google carrot for aircraft nicknames you come up with a Westlund Lysander. I have never heard that nickname used but interesting for speculation. -
Very nice job on this model. Great paint job and you are right the training weapons are eye catchers.

I did end up buying a compressor and was just looking on Amazon and found what I have for $69.96 USD. It works great so I don't think you need to spend that much for a compressor. I use a Sparmax dh103 for an airbrush (which has since been bought by Iwata). Being in the UK I am not sure what is available but best of luck.
-
You will probably need a compressor at some point but I understand how getting started you want to get your toes wet without jumping into the deep end. This may seem odd but I used an extra truck tire (my spare) to provide air when I got started. I got an bought an adaptor to step down from the tire valve to the airbrush hose and filled the tire to about 25-30 lbs.. When it runs low on air take it down to the service station and fill it up again but you should not run out on a single model. And it worked very well for what I was doing, which was spraying larger masked off areas. I thought it was a good inexpensive way to experiment while getting started.

NEW AK Interactive Real Colors - Acrylic Lacquer Paints
Harold55 replied to Mike's topic in Manufacturer News
I really like that they have a color chip on the label. I use Tamiya often and the cap color is of little use so I have created my own set of "chips" for reference but it would be much easier to simply have them on the bottle. And also nice that they will readily mix with Tamiya too. Just have to add more shelves to my paint rack now. -
Great build and a beautiful job on the painting!

Curious on what the price might be. Have the other 3 recent 1/48 kits they produced in plastic and although on the expensive side they are absolutely beautiful and given how unique the subjects are they were worth it. But this one might be out of range.

I have to agree in that I have been waiting a long time for a B-10 (it would need to be in 1/48 scale). Given that it had active service and served with a number of countries you think there would be some appeal. Just having yellow wings is enough for me.
