  1. I am excited about this kit. My sister lives by and air base in Tucson and I think a nice AZ ANG scheme would look wonderful on her mantle.
  2. This is looking fantastic! And I love the crew members which I have to assume are going to be included with the kit.
  3. I actually think this is a good way to go. I have been following them and it is interesting the approach they are taking.
  4. I have recently completed several Airfix kits made in India with no issues. Excellent kits and no issues with the plastic.
  5. I have a keen interest in early Sikorsky subjects. Sikorsky himself is in my book one of the top aviation designers of all time and his life story is fascinating. I would love to pick this up in 1/48 scale and build it.
  6. The issue is that standard paper sizes vary from country to country or region. Here we have 8 1/2 by 11 inches but I have to assume in Britain standard sized are different. So with regrets I assume this will be the British version of the paper airplane. Would love you see a US version as a nostalgia build. But like so many kit intentions, come tomorrow this entire project may be binned.
  7. This is a fantastic offering. What I would like to do is buy the file and print myself instead of paying for shipping. They could ship the decals but that is relatively inexpensive. Anyway, probably not possible but maybe someday.
  8. You are a braver man than I. An incredible project you have undertaken.
  9. The nice thing I like about Zvezda stencil decals is they are actual words, not just a color strip. I can not read Russian so I have no idea what they actually say but at least they look right.
  10. Thanks for posting pictures of the parts and a brief explanation of what we are looking at. This really does look like a great kit. I think the 1/2 detailed engine would allow you to open a panel to show it off but still proved for its support. Would be nice to have the full engine. But my understanding is the RD-10 is a copy of the Jumo 004 used by Germany so that might work as an equivalent for display. Thanks again!
  11. Eduard cut their teeth on 1/48 WWI subjects and their newer 1/48 kits such as the Camel are fantastic. All they would need to do is scale them up and they would have real winners. And this seems to be the direction bi-planes have been going.
  12. I built the CA version and it was a mess. Only advantage would have been the resin cooling fins but sadly they were partly broke by the time I ended up with the kit. I would be very happy to bin my old CA one and replace it with this.
  13. This is sad, mostly because it obviously has been way to many years since I visited the museum, but there is a lot of water between us. Anyway, it still remains one of my favorites airplane museums I have ever visited.
  14. They have a beautiful Ju-88 in the museum. Actually, this is one of the best aircraft museums in the world. Maybe the team just needed a break and they were on holiday, just brought their scanners along for fun.
  15. This is a must have for me. Brilliant design for the engine cylinders. I love colorful between the war aircraft. Hopefully, if this sells well we will see more from this era.
  16. I really wish them the best with this as I would love to see more kits in plastic of lesser known WWI subjects. And there is no shortage of subject matter!
  17. I like the idea of printing turnbuckles and anchors. For most of my rigging I use elastic thread, such as Ushi so the the rigging is not providing the structural strength. This would be a good project for someone to post a design on Cult3d or something similar. I can print on my printer but have no idea how to design something.
  18. Regarding both the Lily and Gotha V they are expensive on the secondary market so a re-pop of these kits makes sense. I have both in my stash and they are actually nice kits even though they are short run. Just picked up the Aviatic decals for the Gotha and think I will tackle it.
  19. I think it would be a great choice. I built the Kitty Hawk Jaguar and it was a chore. It looked good once done but not a modeler friendly kit.
  20. I can understand waiting to see a review and I write reviews so I appreciate the trust people put in them. That being said I really like the kits Airfix has been issuing in recent years and have built quite a few of them and would not hesitate to buy this one. I actually trust Airfix, they have been doing a pretty good job I think.
  21. Good point to both of the responses! I don't know what brand I would buy but I recently completed a kit with 3D "decals" and I really loved how they brought the cockpit alive. One way or another someone's product is going to end up in this kit.
  22. It appears from the renderings that the top glass in the cockpit could be shown open, which will be very nice to show off the interior. This is going to cry out for a full quinta studio set. I am excited to see the plastic!
  23. I really like building 1/48 armour and have this in my stash. You have really done a very nice job with this, I like the way the tracks look. Your weathering is great too!
  24. I would really like to see what this is, just a simple reissue or something new or even partially new. I am very interested!!
  25. This is a kit I will 100% need to get when it comes out. I have a keen interest in aircraft from between the wars and love bi-planes. And there are so many great colorful schemes too. This is very welcome! Airfix seems to want to clean out me wallet.
