  1. Well, Iโ€™m not having so much progress as @The Spadgent - but yes - itโ€™s time to spray some paint! ๐Ÿ˜บ Just before painting I decided to try pre shading on the Lady: I can paint very thin lines with my airbrush, but I think itโ€™s enough for the camouflage. Then the light blue was sprayed on an underside of fuselage and stabilisers received a touch of paint along with the gear well doors: The tail rotor awaits for its red tips. So, itโ€™s masking time again... ๐Ÿ˜‰ Tanks for having an interest! ๐Ÿ‘‹
  2. Looks great! ๐Ÿ‘ These decals are pleasure to work with, isnโ€™t it? Same here... These plastic parts have a great fit - no need to worry about their positioning. Excellent progress, Johnny! ๐Ÿ‘ Now I need to move to my thread for some update... Keep up the good work! ๐Ÿ˜‰
  3. Thank you Johnny! ๐Ÿ™‚ All these handles are so small and it was challenging to glue them all... ๐Ÿ™€ So repetitive. Looks like we're referencing to different Mi-24A production blocks. There's nothing wrong with instructions and your option, and there's nothing wrong with mine: I think I need to post a link to a great walkaround here. It's a bit overlooked by me but very informative. And a bit late for the party! ๐Ÿ˜น Thanks! ๐Ÿค Yes, the foam behave very crazy with masking fluid... ๐Ÿต
  4. Hello Britmodellers! ๐Ÿ‘‹ Iโ€™m not so fast as Johnny (@The Spadgent), but Iโ€™m very close to painting the Hind. All the bits and bobs (except the wiring on launchers) are glued and assembled, I even added some rivet decals on the tail with the little help of isopropyl alcohol. The main rotor assembly got its heating cables: All the openings are masked (I spent two evenings on it! ๐Ÿคช): The belly got its detailing and masking, too: Thanks for looking! ๐Ÿ˜‰
  5. Hello Tom! According to book by Efim Gordon and Keith Dexter, the typical Fencer loadout is described like this:
  6. Thank you Johnny! ๐Ÿค Also I want to try some post shading... I hope itโ€™ll be a great experience.
  7. Thank you CC! ๐Ÿ˜Š Itโ€™s a Moscow! These pictures are from the last year, this winter was a lot more snowy! โ„๏ธโ˜ƒ๏ธ Thank you! ๐Ÿค There was some additional PE parts added... Initial masking was done, so I hope to start paint her soon. Thank you so much! ๐Ÿ™‚ Now I need to add some wiring to the launchers and paint it. I can imagine how itโ€™ll look... ๐Ÿคฉ Thank you for having an interest! ๐Ÿ˜บ
  8. I think weโ€™re all tempted to see your build with all these printed gems! ๐Ÿคค Yes, please! ๐Ÿ™‚ The printed struts as well as other parts looks very uniform. More than that, these looks like they donโ€™t need any sanding to smooth down the printing strokes. So tell us Serkan, is it a printer-related or something else? Most of commercial 3D-printed parts looks not so great as yours.
  9. Me too Johnny, looks excellent! ๐Ÿ‘ I really like how youโ€™ve matched the colours, can you tell me what the numbers they were? Mine received some PE antennas and other small bits, now itโ€™s time for masking and I hope Iโ€™ll post some pictures soon. Great progress so far! ๐Ÿ‘
  10. I saw here there few years ago! ๐Ÿ™‚ Looks very fresh. ๐Ÿ‘ I donโ€™t know how to do it your way - so cool and artistic! ๐Ÿ‘ Same here, I made a piping on an undercarriage using the lead wire and I love it. The launchers arenโ€™t ready yet... ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Well done, Johnny!
  11. Thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚ Me too, just canโ€™t resist to build them... ๐Ÿ˜ฌ A liquid mask to protect the plastic from paint. I frequently use it as l love strong plastic-to-plastic joints.
  12. Thank you for having an interest! ๐Ÿ˜บ Well gents, Johnny (@The Spadgent) triggered some movement on this build and I have some pictures for you... At first, I finished the wiring on an undercarriage and added a small PE mechanicals: The next phase was folding and glueing the photo-etched 2P32M/K-4U launch rails. Note that I havenโ€™t done its wiring yet. On this picture you can see the port test-fitted stub wing pylon and all four assembled launchers: Thanks for looking! ๐Ÿ˜‰
  13. Stunning work, CC! ๐Ÿ‘ The Phantom is a spot-on! I like it a lot, the decaling looks great. ๐Ÿ‘
  14. Itโ€™s a great news, Johnny! Iโ€™m well and have some progress on little bits, including undercarriage wiring and PE-made launch rails. Hope to post new photos in the future.
  15. Hello Johnny! ๐Ÿค I haven't had any progress on the Hind since last year, too... ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Do it, man! I nedd some inspiration, so I'm watching with an interest.
  16. Awesome thread, Mark! It was very fascinating to read it from start to end, thank you. ๐Ÿ™‚
  17. Excellent story and excellent work, Mark! ๐Ÿ‘ The tilted blades adds some spice to already outstanding model. Congratulations, itโ€™ll be a great present, for sure!
  18. Me too! Outstanding work, @Shar75. The Bird looks amazing and the light wash is a spot-on, actually. ๐Ÿ‘ ะ‘ั€ะฐะฒะพ!
  19. Hello Johnny, Iโ€™m glad that youโ€™d used most of these rivets and we finally can see the Hind in your own style. Excellent work as always, bravo! ๐Ÿ‘ 2021 was completely off-bench and slightly off-line for me because of the... music ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Some ideas were realized and some arenโ€™t - as always, actually. So, Iโ€™m OK (thank you!) and visiting the Forum from time to time. I think Iโ€™ll back soon with some projects because I miss you and our forum mates and man, weโ€™re need to build our Mi-24A - donโ€™t you remember?! ๐Ÿ˜ธ The Hind looks great: excellent colours, excellent weathering and shots! ๐Ÿ‘
  20. Oh Gosh, itโ€™s unbelievable! Looks like the real thing, Serkan. Exactly! ๐Ÿ‘
  21. Some outstanding calculations here, Serkan! The more I see at Revell moulds, the more I think itโ€™s really overpriced and not well-designed for the 21st century... Did you see these sink marks on the tertiary doors? Excellent progress and improvements on your drawings. Bravo! ๐Ÿ‘
  22. Ah, after some intensive modelling I switched to music writing and spend some time trying to reconsider my approach to it... I made a few attempts, abandon (or shelve) nearly-finished single and finished two another arrangements that I really like. Not a bad results, but I wanted a bit more... Iโ€™m not ready for modelling yet, but I missed our conversations here on the forum. ๐Ÿค Thank you so much, Iโ€™m happy too! โ˜บ๏ธ
