  1. When the edge doesn't lift easily, I cut the tip of a toothpick to create a sharp "scraper" edge. This is soft enough to minimize damaging the tape. I use the same type of tool to remove the mask (tape or MSI Micro Mask) to avoid scratching the clear plastic.
  2. Nice work on this! Ah, the Hobbit meal plan
  3. The Airfix 1/48 kit has this correctly portrayed.

Looking great! I have this in the stash, and will be sure to check out the AOA decals.
  5. Otto Aviaton's Celera 500L is quite a stunning aircraft! Edit: added video link.
  6. Very nice work! What kits and scale?
  7. Welcome aboard! My suggestion for paint is something you can get locally. Last thing you want is to need paint and have to wait for some online order to arrive in the mail. Also, check out the Modelling 'light bulb' moments thread, some good info there!
  8. Bravo! Very well built and nicely finished as the hard-working aircraft she was.
  9. Bravo! Outstanding fit and finish!!!!!
  10. Bravo! There's certainly no evidence of the difficulties you described.
  11. Adding to the above, there are photos of USN aircraft with mismatched MLG legs.
  12. Airfix's 1/48 Tiger Moth! Woohoo! Finally! Also the Jake Melampy's The Modern Prowler Guide: The Grumman EA-6B Exposed by Reid Air Publications
  13. Interesting film, thanks for sharing. What is the ground member "cranking" at 1:36?
  14. Another delightful subject. Have you detailed how you fabricate those plumbing fixtures? I have the intention to do a pre-war LOT Ju-52/3, SP-AKX. A furnished lavatory would be a nice touch.
  15. Next question. The Squadron Hurricane Walk Around shows this picture of the radiator on pg 26; apparently the round oil cooler makes it a later mark. Are those diagonal shell braces and nearly vertical door actuators also appropriate to the Mk.I? Here's the Airfix 1/48 Mk.I kit. Here it appears parts D38 and D39 are more correctly sized as the nearly vertical radiator door actuators v. the angled shell braces indicated by their placement. An adjacent photo from the book shows a radiator inlet vertical brace. Is that also correct for the Mk.I?
  16. I've noticed that color difference too but, apparently incorrectly, thought it was interior green. Is Dark Green also true for a BoB Mk.I?
