  1. I have no info to add, but I love such contemporaneous photos and the info that have been uncovered. As mentioned, it is indeed a JPEG file, 1024x706, 8-bit. On Winders, just rename the file and add ".jpg" to the end and all will be well.
  2. This is a wonderful subject, I'm glad you're back to it. I also want to see how you're going to paint this, as I have a 1/48 kit in the stash.
  3. Welcome aboard! One bottle of paint or perhaps the colors needed for the kit?
  4. Very well done and quite an interesting scheme!
  5. Says you! Seriously, this is an epic build. So very much to admire.
  6. Ooh, nice! The C-47 is my favorite aircraft, bar none! And this is a fine example.
  7. Welcome aboard! There are master artisans here that will show how to apply all the weathering black arts. But no worry however you finish your models. I build mine clean. I did try weathering, but my artistic abilities are 💩.
  8. @81-er, I do like that scheme and would most likely have chosen it even if decals for the blue schemes were provided. It's a good match for my Goose. The Duck apparently doesn't provide a yellow-wing scheme but @Duncan B did a wonderful job from his spares. The airframe is painted. I used Mr.Color C--113 (RLM04) as a base coat for the yellow with Mr.Color C329 (FS13538) as the final coat. Tamiya Mica Silver for the rest of the airframe. I hemmed and hawed on the best masking approach, but in the end I decided it was easier to mask the yellow bits, so I first spray yellow without masking, then masked the yellow, hit the yellow overspray with Mr.Finishing Surfacer 1500 White, and then applied to Silver. Worked just fine. Thanks for looking
  9. Very cool!! I do have a soft spot for the original Mack logo. Wish there was a 48th version.
  10. Ooh, pretty colors! Seriously, that looks excellent, and at that tiny scale, quite outstanding!
  11. Fresh pineapple does not alter the outcome.
