  1. First helicopter for me. It's the 'easy assembly' kit and it is. The instructions leave a lot to be desired but it is an easy build. There is little in the way of colour callouts so research online is required. The cockpit is basic and odd looking scale wise, I scratch built rudder pedals and collectives to give it some realism. The outer detail is magnificent and very well done, the decals are good and settled well. The main colour suggested was olive drab but I'm not sure of it's accuracy.
  2. Outstanding work. Love the paint job.
  3. I've tried Eduard but they don't do the C model. Thanks anyway.
  4. Does anyone know where I can get a 1/48 canopy mask for the above kit? Thank in anticipation.
  5. Cheers mate, I've only been back into modelling a couple of years after a 50+ years break,so your comment means a lot.
  6. A beauty. I've built this kit and it's a really nice one.
  7. Excellent build, cracking paint job. How did you do the roof lights, they look good. I've got a UH-1c on the way and was thinking of airbrushing the roof lights with Tamiya clear green X25.
  8. Lovely build, nice to see a kit built 'wheels up.
  9. Pretty much trouble free build but the wide yellow wing/fuselage decals were quite thick and required lots of micro sol/set. I've never seen so many decals on a plane before! Eduard masks for Canopy, ultimate grey primer, followed by Vallejo model air metallic and a top coat of Alclad Aqua Gloss.
  10. Belongs to Col W Clark CO of the 18th Fighter-Bomber Wing North American F-51D-30-NA Mustang 1950 South Korea
  11. Another picture, you can just about see the panel colour variation.
