  1. thx for the comments: @Roy vd M. : need to look for the size of the replacement gearbay covers first. Tend to fill the gaps with CA and sanding residue. or when the covers don't fit some plasticardstrip... still to determine @J.P. : This a reboxing of the Special Hobby kit, they left the resin exhausts out, some sinkmarks, but seems otherwise pretty good at the moment... Found a build that corrected all the flaw (or a lot of them, don't know whether I'll take it that far... (see: https://www.modelforum.cz/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=81364&hilit=airacobra&sid=f78e2d7692c460d96e0eb78439329804) @Nikolay Polyakov : still need to do things on the wings. Can't find a lot of info on how the openings for the wing-mounted mg's were closed up @spitfire: doesn't always have to be a star and bar...
  2. Nice one to follow, splendid result, congratz with another beauty...
  3. I do hope Eduard will re-release their 1/72 sets for armor... I do hope... I thought the extratech set are re-released by Hauler, but the set for the Warrior isn't included. Ebay or the like may be of help....
  4. looking really nice like this... sleek lines to for one of the first jets...
  5. Guilty for ME-262... think I have a lot of these in different scales and variants...
  6. Nice build so far, struggling with the same kit at the moment. The camo looks very good, to bad about the rattle... and the measures necessary to stop rattling... but it worked in the end... luckily I'll go for a russian one, no wing guns on those 😉
  7. interested in this one, not only for the plethora of upgrades, but also because the su-27 is just a beautiful aircraft...
  8. Paper panzer productions also has some: http://www.paperpanzer.com/paper-panzer-productions/ppp35002-exhaust-set-kingjagdtiger-e-5075100/ and content: http://www.paperpanzer.com/gallery/nggallery/paper-panzers-picture-gallery/ppp35002-exhaust-set/thumbnails and maybe some other things you might find of use...
  9. Nice, so USSR and USA both had different approaches to improve the V1. Nice and intriguing model...
  10. Nicely build and painted... that correction, nice you did it, kuddo's too... most would leave it as it is and mumble something about next kit etc...
  11. Nice build so far, didn't knew this type of plane, luckily one stumbles from time to time upon these beauties...
  12. cutting up a kit means there's no way back... Looks good so far the residue is easily cleaned away with alcohol.
  13. Nice work... very lively for a dull camo, congrats for that... more pics are always welcome... 😉
  14. Nicely built... Nice start on the paint, maybe you can try to darken the lower parts, and lighten the upper parts of the plates (instead of the middle parts of the plates). a bit of a black and white replication of the shadows.
  15. Recently started this one (thx Lightning88) The P-39 was an American aircraft from the 2nd World War. Special feature were the engine behind the pilot and the tri-cycle landing gear (I've though the second plane that incorporated this was the ME-262) The Americans and Brits didn't use this plane a lot (except in the Pacific) due to lack of range for the Pacific area, or lack of power for the European area (It wasn't possible to include a supercharger, and at great height it had a serious lack of power. Due to the lend-lease pact with Russia a lot of aircraft were shipped to there, and the Russian pilots liked it very much. The battles there were fought at low to medium altitudes, and by removing the wingmounted .30 machineguns and some armor they enhanced the roll rate of the aircraft. It could hold it's own between the Messerschmitts and Focke Wulfs I mean to build a Russian hunter, but don't know exactly which one. The kit: . The extra's: pitot and gearshaft from Profimodeller resin exhaust (fishtail): or round ones Seat belts: Metal landinggear: CMK weaponbay: Eduard Big Ed Zotz Decals: And the build (I'm not that far yet) The flaps were soldered: . And mated to the wings for mounting (still dry-fit because I will need to align the wings first with the hull) I still need to fill the holes from the radiator exit and the wheel bays, and then some rivetting... thx for looking and till next...
  16. I put my pictures on scalemates (www.scalemates.com) ... some kind of database/forum.. From there I'll link the pictures elsewhere...
