  1. Let me answer this myself. According to a site I found after hours of searching the FT had no base coat at all unlike other french WWI-tanks.
  2. Does anybody know which colour the primer of the little Renault FT-17 had during the WWI-era? Guessing it had primer under the camo. Building the Meng kit currently. Thx a lot for any input!
  3. So Copper State Models did a bad investigation? Very interesting to know. Because my Lanchester is also based in Persia (maybe you remember my thread with the missing vulture. )
  4. Very nice work, excellent weathering! I also did this kit some months ago (I showed it here too) and I think Copper State really are very good in injection moulding. This results in a relatively small amount of parts as many details are integrated which would be separate parts in other kits. Their Romfell Panzerwagen which they just released is currently shipped, can't wait to have it in my hands.
  5. Close to perfect in my eyes, a phantastic job. You did the weathering amazingly well.
  6. Very nice rebuild, I like it a lot. And I love Beaus.
  7. This is a Photoshop picture printed on overhead transparency film for inkjet printers. Thanks Chris!
  8. Bristol Beaufighter Mk VI Night Fighter, Tamiya 1/48, my latest model which I finished this week. Airbrushed Vallejo acrylics and oil colours for weathering, the base is an old teak wood chopping board with a map section of Crete from about 6,000 feet. I tried a lot of different possibilities to reproduce the "rotating" props. But I guess in the end there is no good way except installing small electric engines. Well maybe next time... Hope you like my Black Beauty a bit - thanks for looking!
  9. ...with the F-16 genes being dominant. Very nice build!
  10. The heat obviously did not damage your build abilities.
  11. Much better than oil on canvas - and a masterpiece without any question. I like your sea king and its presentation a lot!
  12. Very nice work, love your Heinkel! You are sure this is not 1/24, aren't you?
  13. Thank you very much for your kind words and the info re the Meng kit. In fact I only recently heard about it and I am sure you are right, this seems to be the better kit and I will try to get hold of it after I finished my current build. I hope you will have as much fun building the excellent CSM kit as I had.
  14. One of my favorite fighters and a really beautiful build!
  15. Thank you all very much for your kind words!
  16. Very nice! Really thought it was bigger.
  17. Finished this MiG-25 Interceptor today after about three months. Built oob except Eduard photo etched seat belts. I airbrushed (0.2 and 0.4 mm) it with Vallejo and MiG acrylics and weathered etc. with oil colors. I enjoyed building a lot, even if there were some small problems re a few subassemblies which did not fit as they should. So I also needed some putty. Overall this is a nice kit which is not as tricky to put together as one might think. Thanks a lot for looking!
  18. Very nice build, looks really good! I also started this kit some weeks ago planning to make it the winter camo version. Until I stepped on the canopy... ;(
  19. Your work looks extremely good already!
