  1. This link says the aircraft was nased at Monchengladbach, maybe you can refine your search with that: https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/291959988337987951/
  2. I was checking the instructions earlier today, and I noticed that Revell tells me I should file the top of piece C3 on step 3, but it doesn´t say how much or for what, can someone who has already build this model tell me how much plastic should I remove from this piece and why? Same thing goes for step 20, I´m told to sand the bombracks, but for what? Here are the instructions from Scalemates: https://www.scalemates.com/products/img/2/6/9/239269-81-instructions.pdf Thanks in advance.
  3. I like your paintjob. Can those AK paints be thinned with water?
  4. I hope we get more news from Kinetic soon, I´d really like to get this aircraft on my shelf.
  5. Would RAF duck egg blue be a good match for the undersides of your model?
  6. The A-4 is such a good looking aircraft, no matter the camouflage scheme, good luck with your build.
  7. @72modeler acrylics are really good when thinned properly, leaving almost no brush streaks (unless they´re satin or metallic colours). I´m taking a liking for Japanese fighters, I see more being built in the future.
  8. Finally, something that isn´t German in my collection, Tamiya´s 1:48 J2M3 "Raiden." The decals worked well after soaking them in hot water for a moment, however, the Hinomarus over the wings didn´t totally conform to the raised details of the ailerons. The model was brushpainted with Revell 40 Black Green for the upper surfaces, and Revell Satin 371 Light Grey for the undersides (which was a pain to paint).
  9. Desert Luftwaffe aircraft are luckily simple to paint. I also like that you carried on with the addition of every decal on the aircraft. Just to know, shouldn´t the propellers on the Bf 110 be in RLM 70?
  10. Regarding the extras, I suggest you invest according to how many things will be seen once the model is finished, so I´d concentrate on detailing the cockpit and only that. As for the decals, maybe putting them under the sun for some days will solve everything.
  11. Good luck in your build, I think any dark green and any light blue will be enough for this model.
  12. Great looking Hurricanes. Just to ask, do you build your models with the propellers fixed in place, or do you let them spin?
  13. You could have a go at Hobby Boss´s Spitfire Mk.V/Mk.V Trop, it lacks the landing gear covers, but it looks pretty once built. And it´s cheap too.
  14. That classic is looking great, I built it twice when I was younger, and had a blast building it.
  15. @stevehnz thanks, Revell paints are really nice to use. I believe the colours would look better if I actually used natural light for my models.
  16. Nice looking Spitfire, though I´m more curious about the "Argentine (British)" decal, I will for sure buy that model (Boy, it´s available where I´m going to go for my summer holidays!)
  17. I used Revell 17 Africa Brown, Revell 49 Light Blue, Revell 05 White, and Revell 15 Yellow.
  18. This is the Academy rebox of the Hobbycraft Bf 109G-6, advertised in this boxing as a G-6/G-2 version (Bf 109G-6/G-2 "JG27"). It wasn´t that simple though, because I realised half of the build that the G-2 had an opening for a retractable tailwheel, whereas the G-6 didn´t. I ruined the propeller spinning system, so I had to fix the propeller in place. The kit was brush painted with Revell acrylics. The model represents Marseille´s last aircraft before his death on September 30th 1942.
  19. I´ll be following this build to see how it goes, I´ve always liked the JV 44 "Papagei Staffel" and their bright colours. Plus, I want to see how much contrast there is betwen RLM 82 and 83.
  20. Most luck on this build, by the look of the cockpit, it´ll be great. Also, I´m gonna stick around to this thread.
  21. The real question would be, where are you going to put the model?
  22. If things aren´t going your way, maybe it´d be good if you stepped back and left the workbench for a bit. now
