Youtube recommended me this short video. It shows some Fw 190F-8s from what I assume is SG10 (due to the yellow nose band and rudder) at the end of WW2 in Czechoslovakia (I base this claim by the fact the Revell 1:32 F-8 has markings for two SG10s based at Czechoslovakia).

Hello guys, I'm proud to present my third Mirage in 1:48. This is the Italeri Nesher/Dagger, which itself is a rebox of the old ESCI kit from the 80s. That being said, it's certainly a product of its time regarding fit, cockpit detail and panel lines. However, it's a really buildable kit if you pay attention and test fit multiple times before gluing the parts. Cockpit detail was just a tub and instrument panel with decals for the instruments. Panel lines were raised on the fuselage and a mix of recessed and raised panel lines on the wings. The model was painted with Revell Aqua acrylics by brush. Decals came from the kit. Also, some of you may remember my topic on the Cold War jets forum asking for the measurements for the extended triangle of the Italeri Mirage IIIC in 1:32. I'm proud to say I got it moulded for me. So expect a Mirage IIIEA from Italeri in 1:32 in the distant future.

Decals were added after two coats of gloss varnish. Once they were dry after letting them cure overnight, I glued the final parts (landing gear, wheels, gear doors, nose and fuel tanks). I'm calling this build complete. RFI photos later today. I'm now eyeing Italeri's 1:32 Mirage IIIE. I have the empennage extension (asked about it here las week). If I buy it, it'll be I-003 in the light blue/light grey low visibility scheme.

Hello guys, I have applied the main colours for the camouflage. I used RLM colours for it (RLM 70/71/79). One thing I should have done before painting the yellow bands was to prime the area. It took multiple coats of yellow to get opacity. I'll let the paint fully cure before glossing the model and apply the decals.

The yellow bands have been painted. The underside yellow bands were masked and the light grey was applied.

That box alone deserves its own medal. -
The Dagger has been assembled. I won't glue the nose cone until the aircraft has been decalled and it's on its gear.

Painted the sidewalls light grey and several other parts in black, such as the nosecone, exhaust and parts of the cockpit. Instrument panel details were privided as decals. I put some effort and painted the seat withb black seatbelts and olive drab cushion. Now, we're making the mother of all omelettes guys, we can't fret over every egg!

1/48 - Grumman F4F Wildcat family by Eduard - F4F-3/F-4 released

Maybe it's a pre production thing. -
Not much modelling these days. Exams are approaching, with two finals scheduled for the end of July. I also did one yesterday, and I'm awaiting the mark of one exam I had to redo because I was shy of 1 point from passing. But I did paint the cockpit, built up the seat and added some weight to the Dagger. Photos soon if I stop from being lazy. Anyways, back to something more entertaining. While taking a look at several book boxes I had closed at home, I stumbled upon these two magazines. From 2011! Meaning I was 15 when I bought them.

I'd absolutely buy a Meteor 4 in 72nd if they ever release it. Or better yet, a 1:48 Meteor 4.

Not wanting to sound cheap or lazy, but I don't think adding resin to a model that will later be put on a shelf would matter. Besides, I'd have to order the resin from abroad, and that would be very expensive (U$D is at 230ARS or more). Funnily enough, kits bought from Japan are half the price of what's being sold on my nearby hobby shops (including shipping). There's also the issue with importing things. We're basically not allowed to import stuff.

I know I know. But, this kit was on the cheap side (it had been opened, and the decal sheet had been cut in half), so I HAD to buy it. I maybe should have saved my money to get the 1:32 Italeri Mirage IIIE. No point in looking back though.

Hello guys! In between my exams, I was able to do some work on Italeri's Dagger. I followed Pablo Calcaterra's suggestion on his Dagger on Modelling Madness, and added two wedges under the upper wing halves. I then dry fitted the wings to the taped fuselage (I still need to start work on the kit proper). No steps to be seen, but a gap. Will see if I fill it, or I get lazy and do nothing about it.

Hello guys, I'm planning on converting Italeri's Mirage IIIE into an EA. For that, I need to know the measurements of the empennage extension of the Mirage IIICJ. That part is needed to make (at least externally), an MIIIEA. This is the piece I need the measures of (highlighted in blue). I need its length, width, and height. Hopefully one of you will have the MIIIC with that extension and will be able to give me the measures. Preferently in centimeters. Thanks!

Focke Wulf FW 190 AXX best Model with air intake
Sturmovik replied to Markus3105's topic in Aircraft WWII
Judging by the exhauts and high altitude intakes, it's probably an A-5. Those still got to wear the Eagle Head. Or maybe an A-4, but this link doesn't mention the existence of an A-4/U7. And it mentions the A-3/U7 had a production run of three prototypes, so OP's aircraft has to be an A-5/U7. -
Focke Wulf FW 190 AXX best Model with air intake
Sturmovik replied to Markus3105's topic in Aircraft WWII
The Revell kit is an F-8/A-8. Though usable, OP would have to backdate the A-8 into an A-5 by shortening the fuselage and modifying the cooling slots, besides changing more things. https://www.ipmsstockholm.org/magazine/2004/11/stuff_eng_fw190_01.htm
