Excellent job and backstory.... Pity Tamiya didn't do some form of kit to make the turret operate and sound box that could be fitted I'd go down that route would be interesting for a fixed dio model .

Excellent work and good photos. The scoped K98 though ? Has one of the crew been trying to take a deer with his personal rifle? -

Tiger 1 Airfix 1:72 basic kit
Hairtrigger replied to Hairtrigger's topic in Ready for Inspection - Armour
Dragon kits different league. Assume their tracks etc would be far better than this basic starter kit, but for the price and it's aimed customer it's not too bad really. -
Lidl special out of the box brush job. Not for the perfectionist Tiger 🐅 modeller, it is what it is. Enjoyable relaxing no stress build though....

Hello Folk, Put this in vehicles, but as it's ex-military thought fellow Land Rover enthusiasts might be interested.. Brush painted no dirt or mud, as it's just had a complete nut and bolt restoration.. Humbrol 157 sort of azure blue that suits a Landy.

Hello Folks, My first post here on non military vehicles, this is actually the Guardia Civil kit, but decided to do it as ex-military. Let's say it's recently had a full restoration recently. Brush painted Humbrol 157 sort of azure blue that suits it. I used Humbrol 27 grey as the undercoat. Enjoyable build thanks to my daughter as it was a Xmas pressie ...

Great job that. I can't see any silvering on the decals from the pics must be very minor. I often think if your going to build a model that's the scale to do. Just the room for them.- 14 replies

Airfix 1:35 Austin K2/Y help needed!!
Hairtrigger replied to wasacop's topic in Work in Progress - Armour
I too had problems with that decal. I contacted Airfix and they sent me out a new decal sheet. The decals not up to their usual standard ruined a few got the one on the roof on eventually, but was a struggle. Possibly when you get new one for roof consider cutting it in two and join them up, that's what I wish I'd done. Apart from that it's a good kit. You likely know, but the decals for the Ice Cold in Alex version are included on the sheet. Ps Very kind of Simon above to offer to send you the decal... True gent that man. -
