  1. My letter to the Credit Card company for a re-fund fro my never delievered FRG conversion is now in the post ... .. Ah well maybe someday... The build was nice tho'!
  2. It looks to be a great set - but its the wrong scale ... The poor old Hasagawa 32nd A-4 has been sitting forgotten about for years - I'd love a set like this to bring it up to current standards .. Ah well ..
  3. I had problems with alclad bought from a US stockist , the "never Drying2 issue , however paint bought from the UK - no problems at all.. Never used Crome, but yup all the reading i've gone states its Gloss Black Enamle As for the normal shades - I use Halfords Grey Plastic Primer wet sanded using 600-1200 grit, followed by micromesh .. the odd time I've tried Tamiya Acrylic as a primer - it worked for small areas but left for a few weeks/months I had the undercoat "crack" - caused I think by the pressues for the Alclad hardening off - the Car primer on the other hand is bulliet proof , dries quickly , and if fairly cheap here in the UK
  4. I had one ofr ages, bought it when it first came out , and was all set to build it , until I found out it had about as much in common with the real Gripen , as I have with Brad Pitt.. so it was relagated to the back of the cupboard for years , until I swapped it for a new Tamiya 1/32nd F-14 , so that makes it work at least £60-70 I guess The person I swapped it with was planning to base a resin kit on the re-worked Revell kit , bau that was over 2 years ago, and i havn't heard much about this project for almost a year .. pity !
  5. I'd settle for Force H , I've got the WE 1/350th 1941 HMS Sheffield , a Renown and Ark Royal would be Sooooo nice .... As for Warspite - that should be in 1/144th like that new bismark , the Best battleship the RN ever had should be in a decent scale!
  6. Beautiful job - taken me back to the days , back in the 70's when I built all of the airfix rockets .. never quite got round to the Revell kit .. but maybe one day ... Oh and ubfuled S5 stack was 365 feet tall , sitting on top of a launch pad 90 ft tall, and the whole thing sitting on top of a flame trench another 50-70 feet above ground lever - makes the Shuttle stack look like a toy .. I love the S5 - I've spent a small fortune on boosk about apollo - and the scale of the S5 never ceases to amaze me - And you've really done it justice !
