  1. Nice Huey, the mods look great and its nice to see the occasional non military bird here
  2. Kev, I asked the same question in a PM and I was given a Paypal account to send funds to... selinadelvecchio (at) yahoo.com which I will be doing shortly
  3. If you've got the later issue of the kit with the book in it then you can contact Italeri and they will send you another set of fuselages (the book in the kit tells you how to model a stretched version using another set of fuselage halves). I have found snail mail the best way to get stuff form them using the addres in the instruction sheet. Otherwise, I have the Flightpath extensions but have not used them yet. I also have an old DB resins set which I believe the Flightpath ones are based on. If you want to model the ramp down with the plugs then you will need to extend the floor and do a bit of work on the inside sections of the plugs to detail them. I think I will just leave mine buttoned up when I get around to it.
  4. I use clear acylic rod and Evergreen tube sections. I drill a hole into the model the diameter of the tube and then glue a length of tube into the hole (enough to hit the inside top of the fuselage). Ends up looking like this.... Tube in place
  5. I thought it was the 1/144 Revell CL-604 he was using as a base for the conversion. The kit looks Revellish to me. There is isn't a 1/72 injection CL-604 around, if there was I would have one
  6. Thanks for the pictrues Dan, looks like I will have to splash out on this set!
  7. So is the cat out of the bag for the What If GB? I have a 1/72 C-130 probe formthe Itlaeri kit and it is about 5cms long from the mounting point. So a probe of about 2-3 cms in 1/144 should look right. Happy for someone with measured probe to pipe in.
  8. I'd be interested in a couple as well! Postage to Australia would be?
  9. Dan, Can you tell me if the Air Wing etch is included in the set you are using? It this the Ultimate set WEM are selling?
  10. The Airfix boxing includes markings for: 40SQN RNZAF (white over grey scheme) 37SQN RAAF (white over grey scheme) F7 Wing Swedish Air Force (overall grey scheme) "Lyneham Transport Wing" RAF (overall grey scheme)
  11. Here's one I did a while ago. Hobby Boss F/A-18D
  12. So what power microscope do you use to work on those! Seriously that is fine work and very nicely finished. How do you paint the detail on such small parts?
  13. So you didn't want to build it in cloaked mode ? Paintwork looks great and the mods as well
  14. I like these repaints, I have done a couple now on diecasts. Looking forward to see how you manage the markings, are you getting decals made up in 1/100 Mish? Any specific aircaft?
  15. I picked up the Gallery Models version down here and I think it is retailing at just over twice the expected price of the Lusty (which I have on order as well). Looking at the sprue pictures the Revell and Gallery kits are the same plastic. Not sure if the trendy stand comes in the Gallery kit. Would be surprised if it didn't. I will have to recheck mine.
  16. Neil, The Hasegawa DC-10 goes togehter very nicely liek all the Hasegawa 1/200 airliners. I built the KC-10 version some years ago and did not have and issues at all.
  17. Nice job Fred Are you coming up for ScaleACT this year?
  18. I've just recieved a couple of the LF conversion sets (TAV-8A and 233OCU RAF Version) and they are very nicely moulded. They are almost a kit in themselves. You need the Esci/Italeri Harrier GR3 kit for a few parts like the main wing, exhausts, gear and cockpit. Form a quick look I think you also need the kit intakes though it is not mentioned in the LF instructions. Overall very happy with my purchase. To top it off the price on the site is inclusive of post (worldwide) and the kits arrived within a few weeks or ordering. I can upload a few pictures of the conversion sets if wanted
  19. I am using a Testers Model Master Metaliser - Aluminium Plate, I also used the metaliser sealer for the first time to see how it would take masking. Seems to have worked well.
