  1. Hi, I am not a kit modeller as most of you would probably be, I come from the world of tabletop gaming. So, I can paint a bit and assembly is no problem, I can scratch build some things, customise and have access to 3D printing. the reason I am here is because I am looking to make, perhaps customise and mount on a diarama, a specific aircraft as a gift. The aircraft is a Waco CG-4 (British designation Hadrian) glider. My grandfather who passed away recently flew these in WWII, stationed in India preparing for an assault on Burma before Japan surrendered. My father collects various historic aircraft stuff so I was going to do up one of these, painted myself rather than decals. I have the name and rank of both my grandfather and copilot so was going to paint there names under windows (even though that may not be historical accurate) I have seen some kits. https://www.wonderlandmodels.com/products/italeri-172-waco-cg-4a https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/202115443801 Is anyone familiar with the quality of these or any alternative kits? Any other tips for how to pull this off with the utmost detail would be appreciated. I am not too familiar with standard levels of detail but I am used to fine detail, much more so than say model trains (another related hobby I sometimes look at for ideas, but they tend to be less detailed with more stuff) the diarama I would probably do an airfield, I am guessing a makeshift one, with a clear mount in either takeofff or landing. i do know the base of operations as well. Thanks
