  1. Does anyone have any information on the badge or emblem carried in the funnel of the Type 23 frigate,HMS Westminster, please? The photos I have of her don`t show this part of the ship. Thanks in advance Phil
  2. how nice to see an excellent model, of a vessel ,I often saw on the River Humber, when I was a lad.Unfortunately the Humber is virtually empty of any kind of shipping , nowadays.Well done on a superb build, and thank you for sharing it with us,All the best Phil
  3. This morning I went mad and bought the P-51b in 1/32nd,Trumpeter seem to be getting better with each new 1/32 kit. I thought their Hellcat was great, but the P-51 is better ,if that is possible. Two fuselage halves are included in the kit ,one in clear plastic, plus a sheet of PE ,for seat belts etc.If trumpeter carry on in the same way,ROLL ON THE LIGHTNINGS,is all I can say!
  4. No it`s not a 4-stacker,it`s a Gleaves class DD .I like this as it`s a change from all those Fletchers!
  5. Over on modelwarships.com,they have preview of the above kit in 1/350th.It looks like a winner, and although it`s not RN,I`ll be buying one, just for a change.
  6. No Japanese warships are included,as these are my personal preferences, and I don`t like IJN ships.
  7. Over on a US naval website, someone has come up with a top ten warships list,of course the majority of them are American. What are you top ten? From WW2 or before.Mine is as folows: 1)Queen Elizabeth class battleships 2) Flower class corvettes 3)Any British destroyer from v&w to Battle class 4)Type VII U-Boat 5)HMS Victory 6) US Essex class 7)Illustrious class 8)Town class cruisers 9)Black Swan class sloops 10)River class frigates
  8. For fans of 700th scale, there is a preview,on Trumpeters site,of their 700th Hood `31.It looks pretty impressive.Even I might be tempted to get one!
  9. This is my first post on this site, and I hope it will prove interesting, for all concerned.Well to get the ball rolling,I am building a1/350th WEM kit of HMS Starling, converted to HMS Kite.In the photos I have of the Kite(taken Mar 43), she is painted in a western approaches scheme, however the blue used is much darker than the usual WA blue.Does anyone have any ideas want blue could have been used?many thanks Phil
